We requested a service call. All went well. Serviceman seemed okay. Took several days to get estimate for repair. Made the repair. Did not solve the problem. After multiple requests to follow up, crickets. It was a lot of money for nothing. The issue seemed more company than repair tech. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BUSINESS. I have a Scotsman Icemaker that started making a draining noise longer than it had been in the past. I called Scotsman and they gave me Dr. Appliance's info. Dr. Appliance charged $175 before they ever came out. The first technician came out and told us that our hose was crimped and that is what was causing the drain pump to drain longer that it had been. So, they order a new hose ($233.65) and 7-14 days later, the hose arrives and then we must wait for another 2 weeks before they can come out. They came out and a different technician this time says that the hose was not the problem, it was the pump. While he is trying to take it apart, he broke the pump. So, we went from an ice maker that was at least making ice, to now an ice machine that is not working. (New Pump $809.73) So they ordered the new pump and were so sorry that we have ordered and paid for the hose, that they would credit the cost of the hose towards the pump. Again 7-14 days for the pump to come in and 2 weeks after it comes in, the pump is installed. Only now, the third technician decides to tell us that they never intended to give us the $233.65 credit towards the pump and keep the new hose, they now want to remove the new hose and install the new pump with the old hose. Now that the new pump is installed, the icemaker is still making the same noises that it was before we started this process. After 3 months and 3 different repairmen and $1,010.37, our ice maker is doing the exact same thing that it was doing before the morons at Dr. Appliance touched it. Please find another company to service your appliances. I have been waiting since March 11th. That was my first appointment for my washer repair. It is now June 6th... Takes weeks to get parts or appointments. I've been told several things that it wasn't. I'm hoping after talking to Sean this will finally get resolved but I would definitely not pay up front like I did because I'm still waiting and can't wash clothes lol. Terrible experience with them. The service guy was late, outside his 4 hour window to arrive. He gave me a discount because he wasn't there very long. I paid cash, don't do that ever again! He didn't send me a receipt for services. We got called by their collections, we owed the balance. This supervisor of this company is not a nice person. I'm done with them. Our brand new GE double wall oven just stopped working one night so we called the place we bought it from to get it fixed under warranty. DOC Appliance came out, said we needed a part and would get it ordered. Two weeks later, part comes in and they come back to install it. Still doesn't work. Then they said we needed a different part. Ordered that part, two weeks later, theyinstall that part and it STILL doesn't work. They say we need a DIFFERENT part. The tech that came this time pushed the (VERY heavy) double wall oven all the way back into the cabinet (after we had left it slightly pulled out for easier access.) Two weeks later, ANOTHER tech comes out, sees that the oven is all the way in the cabinet and can't get it out without another person. They said they would bring help next time so they could fix the oven. Got a voicemail yesterday saying they can't come out to fix it until WE get it pulled out of the cabinet. Been calling all morning only to get a message that says to call during normal business hours 8am-4pm. It's 9 am now and still no answer. Dr appliance came out Jul 26 to evaluate appliance. New part was ordered. Came out Aug 9 but was wrong part. Returned Aug 23 but wrong part again. Waited on part, then got billed by LG due to Dr Appliance stated in their report that my refrigerator was repaired. Dr Appliance returned again Nov 21 because LG created another repair ticket. Dr Appliance reported that Dec 5th, the refrigerator was repaired. However, I purchased the part and repaired it myself and had told Dr Appliance not to come out. The result is LG turned me over to collection agency for a repair that was not made once nor the second time but yet they reported as repaired both times. I don't recommend them or trust them. read more

I made an appointment. the tech called to say they were in another city, had gotten it wrong , so couldn't come. Next available time was a Monday. I cancelled a dentist appointment I had had for 6 months so I could be home. The Friday before the scheduled appointment I was in a class with my phone turned off. Dr Appliance called for me to confirm appointment and didn't tell me that a call would be made before hand. When I saw voicemail during weekend I called and left voice message stating I would be home for service call. They had cancelled the appointment because I didn't respond before noon on Friday. Did not notify me of cancellation. Waiting for tech call this amon schedule Monday. I calked to find out not coming Would have to reschedule. A little furious. They have been working for my parents on warranty work with a new Bosch dishwasher. They have been put 4 times and have informed us that they cannot fix the dishwasher that it needs to be replaced. Yet when we try to get a replacement they are telling Bosch that the dishwasher is working as it should. So now we are stuck dealing with a company that will not help us get a new under warranty dishwasher replaced! This has been going on for over a month and needs to be addressed read more

We will always ask to work with him because he is prompt, super attentive, very knowledgeable, and adds so much value to every visit. He serviced our refrigerator and assisted with the clean up of the rust from the condenser unit that stained the whole back of the fridge. He also gave me his professional opinion about a situation we are having with our washer. GE had scheduled 4 visits with A&E to repair my 1 1/2 year old refrigeratior. After one visit where the tech clearly had no intention of changing the compressor-even though GE had supplied the parts- and 2 no shows, I told them to schedule with another service company. Luckily, Doctor Appliance was the company they used. Dawson came out when he was scheduled, was friendly and professional. He was knowledgeable of the repairs needed and completed the work faster than I had expected. I know who I will and will not use for appliance service in the future! read more

Our relatively new washing machine of 4 years began making a horrible noise. We called several repair companies and none would come to our neighborhood (a new development). The Doctor Appliance was the only repair company willing to come out. They even have a great scheduling process that has them in our area on a certain day of the week. Not only is Doctor Appliance a well-run company their tech John was friendly, knowledgable, and is someone we would request, should we need service on any of our appliances. I have an air conditioner than went out July 1, 2023. To make this story short DO NOT USE Dr. Appliance Estill Springs, TN. They are a joke. My air-conditioner is still not repaired and they say they need a part they must buy. They have no called or advised me if the part has even been ordered. Today is August 9, 2023. They do not care about getting things fixed if in a hurry. In a hot house but they have no concern. Looking elsewhere. I will say again do not use Dr. Appliance for any repair on your appliances. The guy that came out did nothing to the air-conditioner stayed 3 minutes , and gone. They have not called me nor advised me of when the item will be repaired. Also, do not procure any extended warranty from Electrolux/Frigidaire This is just a scam. I sent in a complaint to the BBB in Huntsville, AL that was forwarded to the Nashville, TN. office. We had Doctor appliance out to our house a couple of times, first they looked at our washer, that was throwing water all over my floor and making a loud banging noise during the spin cycle. The service tech was very friendly and explained to me how and why this had happened, my children were over filling the washer causing it go out of balance, which was causing the washer tub to lean..he was able to fix these issues. The second time we had them out was to install a dishwasher for us....again the tech was very friendly and remembered that he had came out and repaired our washer. During the installation of the dishwasher he had found that our old dishwasher was hard wired into the wall, he was able to add an outlet that would handle the power of the dishwasher for safety purposes, and proceeded with the installation. Needless to say we absolutely enjoy having this company come out to our house, we can trust that they know what they are doing, they go above and beyond to make sure their work is done to perfection. Since this is an authorized LG service business, LG issued them a warranty work order to perform a major repair to my 2 year old LG French door fridge. It only took 3 business days from the time LG approved the repair for the Doctor appliance technician to actually repair the fridge (new compressor) at our house. That blew me away! The technician was very experienced & competent. 2 hours to replace compressor. The dispatcher called to schedule the service visit the exact day LG assigned them the work order. She also called us the first business day before the appointment to confirm & called again just before the technician arrived. The appointment window was only 2 hours & he arrived within 30 minutes of the earliest end of the appointment window. You just don't see this high level of service these days. They service much of North AL & middle TN. I give them 6 out of 5 stars!!!! read more

They came out to repair a drier and after pulling it away from the wall and "fixing it" they informed my wife that they couldn't put the drier back against the wall because they would have to move the washer to hook the vent hose back up. He wasn't allowed to touch the washer. I travel on business so that left my wife with four kids at home with no drier after it was "fixed". He said the drier vent was supposed to be 4', and didn't offer to place the proper vent hose on which we would have paid for. All the tech was worried about was leaving, and BTW the drier is still making the same noise he supposedly fixed. No concern for the customer more concerned about finishing his route, you are just a number to this company you would be better off finding a another company than these guys. read more
