I was in Monday for a dot physical and did not pass due too diabetes' and I didn't know I had it my glucose level was at 449 and was told I didn't pass and to see my primary Dr nothing about it's way high so went home and Tue night went to ER and was at 591 had blurred vision they treated me and got down to 341 and to see my primary Dr to get on a regimen a lot a people when I told them what my level was said I could of had a stroke or be in a coma and Doctors now doctor was trying to sell me other services very unprofessional read more

I walked in on a Monday at 5:30 PM (They are open until 8:00 PM that day). There was only ONE person in the waiting room. Took forever for that person to be seen. Don't these places usually have more than one service provider? Then, after that person finally got seen, it seemed to take forever for ME to get seen. Meanwhile, five more people walked in after me. Hope it didn't take forever for the five more people. But, once I got seen, the Physicians Assistant who saw me was quick AND thorough. I had an ear problem. Got it diagnosed quickly. The Physicians Assistant was very friendly and nice. She also was able to "shoot" a prescription to Wal-Mart and I was able to get it. One thing I was surprised at, they didn't require you to fill out a 10 page thingie on health history. Ok, whatever. They were also ok with me not providing my SS number for my claims, it's not required. The seemingly long wait time irked me when there was only ONE other person at the time I went in, but I would go here again if needed. read more

I used to take my family to the Altoona clinic because of the convenient location and hours, however I found the staff, particularly the male nurse, rude and unprofessional. He made me feel like a bad mother for bringing my children into the clinic when they were sick. During one visit, instead of calling my child's name to take us back to the room, he took one look at me, rolled his eyes and motioned for us to follow him with his clipboard. While in the examination room, he didn't speak to us and was visibly annoyed that we were there. I left crying and never returned. I've never felt more offended or ostracized than I did at that clinic. read more

Well, it was my first time here. I was sent here by my employer, for a drug test. The staff gave me a container to take my urine sample and directed me towards the restroom for the sample. I needed to only fill 1/4th of the container. Also, there was a sign in the toilet that said "Do Not Flush". My first thought: Do they expect me to piss up to the mark and then hold the remaining inside my bladder? Being in the medical industry, do they not know that holding your pee could be harmful? I had to leave with a burning feeling and found a restaurant nearby to complete my urination. Weird but, I just felt they should be more considerate and think it through. read more

Doctors tomorrow would be a better description. I was one of two people in the waiting room and it took over an hour and a half for them to get to me and all I needed to do was take a drug test for my employer. Very frustrating. read more

Visiting IA, came down sick. Walked in and was seen by Kaitie Parsons, PA/C. Wonderful experience. She called two days later to make sure the medication was working. My primary doesn't even follow. If I am in the area again and need a doctor, I would use DoctorsNow again. read more

I was in severe back pain when I chose DN in Altoona, Iowa. You can tell a lot about a place in the first five minutes. I hadn't been to a doctor for sometime, but this place made the trip comfortable and reassuring. The front end staff is polite and determined to give you the best impression beginning to end. They are friendly and thorough, telling new patrons what to expect for charges. The walk-in clinic does not handle every medical issue (check their website for current services), but what I needed was something they could address. The nursing staff was friendly, direct (in a good way) and helpful. They, too, are thorough so the doctor knows why you are there. I seen Dr. David Stilley, MD. He was awesome! The exam and discussion was comprehensive. He made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed, and my lack of sleep and fogginess was met with reassurance, direction and solution. I felt a real connection with a doctor who truly cares and has a wonderful bedside manner. His knowledge and expertise is one that a patient can trust. This is a well organized clinic, conveniently located and accessible. read more
