A happy Dog Wash Bouvier
Pamela D.

The Dog Wash is our favorite! The groomers are expert at grooming the most unusual breeds. Great care is taken with my dogs and the trip to Wilmette is well worth the time. We have a friend that has the same breed of dog that we recommended and she makes the trip from Oak Park. I would suggest the Dog Wash to anyone.

Our Pug nice and clean!

Karen at the Dog Wash has been grooming our sensitive Pug for 7 years. Of course she does an excellent job getting excess hair from my Pug's coat, and of course the bath, and nails are done perfectly. What really sets the Dog Wash apart from other places is the kindness with witch they treat their clients (I.e. the dogs). I often "pop-in" unexpectedly to see how things are going (since I'm often stuck nearby getting the car serviced). The groomers are all talking to the dogs or out walking them briefly. It is the case that they cage the dogs, but the minute they are finished, you get a phone call so you can pick up your pet, if you are free. Karen keeps a sharp eye on her staff. She is an excellent groomer with high standards. She expects all of her groomers to meet these standards as well.

Wrigley after his 3rd groom-- so happy!!

Love these guys!!! They always take in my Wrigley on short notice, and he comes out happy and fluffy as can be. I recommended them to all of my fellow puppy moms, and they have good experiences as we

This place gets the job done. They are always polite to me and my dog (a lab mix) always comes out clean, looking great, and happy.

Karen, the owner, mentioned Nature's Miracle and when I came in to buy it, I just got a positive vibe from her.

Wags does dog grooming services, as well as Cats! They have a unique selections of natural dog foods, treats for your pawed friends, and emergency supplies you may need. Their front display case has the cutest cookies and pup-cakes for special occasions! Mary, the owner, is such a friendly and honest woman, and her employees do their best to make your dog or cat comfortable and looking top-notch! It may be difficult to make an appointment, they are always busy due to such loyal and satisfied customers! My Matilda loves going to get a bath and cookie afterwards. They treat her like the princess she is! While you wait, check out the awesome shops in the area, or stop by Stormys Grill and Tavern for a drink or Beyond Burger.

Occasionally forget to trim nails. I would give 5 stars because I really like the groomers, but the only thing that drives me crazy is the trainer in the lobby. While I realize she is trying to run a business, it's terrible to arrive for check in for grooming and being told "don't do this. Stand away from this dog. etc. etc." I want to be understanding, but the last visit it got downright rude. Perhaps there is not enough space? Maybe there is a more conducive location? Not sure, but I do know that our pups are scared enough to come to the groomer and when we arrive we are trying to keep them calm with calm voices because they can sense everything.

My senior dog can't take epic grooming sessions, and her hair was choppy and uneven after her last groom. Her ears and tail had been weirdly shaved, and I wasn't sure we'd be able to make her look normal again during her lifetime. The staff at Rover's is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The groomer we saw today has been grooming for 18 years, and had my sweet pup groomed in 45 minutes--and it's the best cut she's had in years. She did what she could to round out her ears, and to help set her up with a cut she can grow back into and look like herself again. My dog is fluffy, soft, adorable, and HAPPY! As a side note, all of the groomers there today were being so warm and friendly with the dogs in their care. I even saw one groomer sitting on the floor keeping a dog company while it waited for its owner. We will be going to Rover's for our grooming from now on!!

It's often too many for him or her to control. One family member compared Rover's Place to a shelter because the dogs are put into crates more often than they should be. Our dog enjoys going to Rover's Place, finds ways to have fun with the other dogs and comes home tired however, we were hoping that there would be additional open space for the dogs to run around.
