I don't usually trust 1-2 star reviews for two reasons. One is because all they do is write 1-2 stars for almost every establishment. Right there is a loss of credibility. The second reason is because they can't even write a proper review without using at least 5-10 exclamation points. Need I say more? With that said, Doggie Diner provides decent food with generous portions for reasonable prices. Service was good, the kids were very attentive and they made your food fresh. Tables were clean, they are doing some renovations. The casino games were a bit out of place. Parking lot was too dark, it could use more lighting. I almost missed the turn. Garlic bread was decent. It was crunchy but could be softer in the middle. French fries were tasty with the cheese sauce. They give you more than enough sauce which was good. I had the Boston filler - gyro meat and Italian sausage. Great tasting sandwich with plenty of meat. Maxwell Polish is another recommended choice. Overall, good value for what you pay for.

Food is solid - hot dog topped however you like it and the fries were delicious and generously portioned! For sure enough for 2. We got the special which was two dogs, fries and a drink for 7.50. They have a nice sized menu. All the guys behind the counter were super friendly and helpful. The only thing that keeps this from a five star were the dirty the floors and tables.

We decided to give this place another try and that was before I knew of the new ownership. I say this because the staff is new when we went this past Wed. We ordered Texas jalapeño double, onion rings, Cajun fries, and chicken wings. Everything was made fresh. She made my burger like how I wanted it, it was juicy. The burger is much bigger than it looks in the picture btw for a double. You can order a single patty. The jalapeño poppers gave it a nice taste, it wasn't spicy at all. The onion rings were okay, I think I'll skip that next time. The Cajun fries were tasty, not too salty. The chicken wings were flavorful on the outside and I love how these wings are meaty. These are not those tiny ones. There was only one woman that ran everything and she was very kind. Prices were reasonable. This is about a 4.5 out of 5.

Our server was great, suggesting that if we ordered an appetizer, one Detroit style pizza would be plenty. And she was right. We had the best cheese curds I've had south of the Wisconsin border. Light breading and excellent taste. I chose the Mt Massive craft brewed IPA and it was very good. Not too fruity or hazy, a solid IPA worthy of a second round. We got the Chi-Town Detroit-style (a lot of Great Lakes attitude there) and it was wonderful! Sauce had great flavor, but the focaccia bread crust was outstanding. Light and buttery, not like a heavy deep dish crust. So good! Highly recommend. Desserts looked awesome, but we were too stuffed. Looking forward to a return visit with friends to try one (or two) of them!

Unfortunately when I went on a Friday afternoon the dining area was closed. Looked like they were filming and taking pictures. They were in the kitchen too. Anyway, I placed an order to go and less than 10 minutes later I was out the door. Ordered the BAM cheeseburger and small fries. A little pricey but then everything is. The mixture of beef and lamb is luxurious. Great blend and let's hear it for a good old fashioned char burger! The spices and sauce are subtle yet distinctive and unique. Wonderful flavors throughout. The fries are the larger/thick cut that I usually don't enjoy, but these were fried perfectly and had a great texture. Now I'm going to be nit picky on the build of the burger. And this is obviously personal preference. The burger patty is a generous size. However, the cheese was so melted and thin, I barely noticed. The onion was a raw white onion and also a generous cut. I would prefer a red onion or grill them. As it was, the onion kind of dominated the flavor. The tomato, pickles, and lettuce were all good, which added up to a tall build. Finally, a brioche bun. I know, the world loves a brioche bun. On a burger, I don't want the extra sweetness of brioche. Give me a good old potato bun or sesame seed bun instead. Nothing bad about any of the above. Great service, fast and friendly. I look forward to the dining room open and trying a gyro plate! I'll be back for sure.
