Reservation is a must, we went there on weekday night and the place was packed! We shared 4 huge rectangular pizze (about 30cm X 60cm ?) and tried many different toppings like Margherita, Nino (mozzarella, pancetta, salamino, boscaiola, pomodorini, etc...), Quattro Stagioni, etc.... They are all made fresh in the brick oven and the crust was crispy on the outside and slightly chewy inside... very tasty! The toppings were fresh and flavorful, gooey cheese was melting in my mouth! This is as good as it gets, Tramonti lives up to its hype! I wolfed down 4, 5 slices of pizza even though I wasn't even that hungry! Aiuto!!! The price was unbeatable, we only paid like 10 Euro per person. WOW!!! E impossibile dimagrire in Italia..... how do the Italians stay so skinny??? Not fair!!!

Something is missing but I'm not sure what precisely it is. The food was good/very good but certainly not to American BBQ standards. The flavour just wasn't there. The portion size was very competitive however. I had the meat sampler. It had steak, chicken, pork & sausage. All tasted good to very good to me. I also ordered a fully loaded potato which they nailed in flavour. One thing I really liked was the decor. They had some of the lighting on meat hooks in the dining area! This is a do-over for sure.

I had one of the special pizzas with arugula, tomato, and mozzarella, topped with freshly shaved Parmesan and balsamic vinegar. With the thin and crisp well-blistered whole wheat crust, I couldn't stop myself from eating the entire generously sized pizza. Pizzas were about €7-10 and approximately 14 inches in diameter. They also have a whole menu of pastas and other dishes. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and gave us both English and Italian menus. Normally, getting the English menu is the badge of shame, but somehow here it did not feel like that. Highly recommend.

My daughter took her first bite and declared that she could never eat pizza anywhere else again. While living in Italy we have tried many pizzerias and restaurants, but none compare to Don Alfonso. It is simply the best pizza we have had in 3 years. They also have other food on the menu which is equally good. The food is consistently good. It never disappoints. And the staff is friendly, helpful and provide fantastic service. We eat there about once a week and take every guest that visits there. The atmosphere, food and staff are one of things that I am going to miss the most when we leave Italy this summer. I highly recommend this restaurant. It will not disappoint.
