Gosh it's so great to have eye definition without effort. Janell gives clear instructions before and after, takes care to do touchups, and I have a great outcome. Pool time, exercise, heat and sweat and pale complexion - then get permanent make up. If I have time before we move I'll lip liner. Years ago I had permanent eyeliner done but it was a different technique.It was a kind of scratching with color, not bad, but Janell's is more like tattooing which my mom and sister had done. In an effort to decrease the amount of make-up & time I have to spend on getting my eyes to look like they exist, I called Doll Face. The availability for an appointment was about 6 weeks out at the time of my call...bummer for me as I was eager & excited to try permanent makeup. Janell did offer to call me if she had a cancellation. Lucky me - someone cancelled so I was able to get in just over 2 weeks from my initial call. Due to my lack of experience with tattooing of any kind, I opted for just upper eyeliner. The process was painless, the environment totally comfortable & the result is perfect... exactly what I was looking for! It's been almost a week at this writing and I've not had any problems with healing, etc. Very little discomfort the first day that was assuaged with an ice pack. The biggest inconvenience is no mascara for a week. Ugh. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have had Janell do so much more. I've already made another appointment (6 weeks out again as she's all booked up) to get more done. Doll Face is appropriately named as it describes Janell perfectly! Janelle did my permanent eyeliner in the summer of 2015. I love it! She is truly a pro at what she does. Getting permanent anything is scary but even more so when it is done around your eyes. Janelle did a great job at keeping me calm and had a very steady hand to where she got the perfect line. I visited her 3 times (normally the procedure takes two visits) because I decided to go very conservative on the first visit because I did not know how I would like my result or how my skin would react. The other two visits(feeling a lot more comfortable now) Janelle built up the color on my upper lash line. My eyeliner is semi conservative (as Janelle put it "Tuesday dinner, not Saturday night out" style). I had my eyebrows tattooed for the first time this past winter, and went back for my first touchup last month. Janell used a powder brow technique to give my brows a natural look. She set my expectations clearly, by explaining that my brows would be a bit swollen and larger at first, but would shrink by about 40%, which was spot on. About a week after my 1st session, I loved the finished look. On my first touchup 3 months later, my skin absorbed the ink better, and my look was finished with the swelling gone the next day. I was very pleased once again. Janell is skilled, and used a good amount of numbing cream both times to make sure I was comfortable through the session. I appreciated how she veers toward a more conservative approach, and helped me to avoid the look of "angry brows" or overly dramatic brows both times. I'm 41 years old, and have been painting my brows for 25 years. I've been too scared to take a chance, until now. I can't begin to express how happy I am with Janell and her service. It took some time to decide that I wanted to go through with permanent cosmetics, and I started doing a lot of research on experienced makeup/tattoo artists. I found her and her business, and was obviously impressed by all her positive reviews and ratings. I'm soooooo glad I found her. I had eyebrows, full lip color and top and bottom eye liner done. It was a long process, as you have to return for touch-ups, and I opted for my whole face to be done, so obviously it isn't an overnight procedure. What I liked most about her is that she starts out conservatively, because she'd rather under-do it than over-do it. You can always go back and add more. The colors she picked the first time were perfect. The shapes she picked the first time were perfect. I put the fate of my face in her hands....
