I visited this Walmart two days in a row (one of them being Christmas Eve) and I was amazed at how few people were here. Maybe if you lived in one of these small towns you would consider it crowded. The produce looked and tasted fresh. The meat I purchased was excellent. I also bought some last minute stocking stuffers that caught my eye. The employees were all friendly and helpful. Would I come back here? Yes, if I'm ever in the Lake Murray area again I would.

My husband bought produce and was in self check out, the person there had to assist him with tomatoes (he nevr did this before) she goes quickly through the process then he has peppers, he calls her over again. This time he made her slow down to show him. Then he swiped his card and there was an issue with the reader. He called her ovr again (mind you she is on her phone playing on Facebook) and she literally rolled her eyes and gave a huge sigh. I would give the staff (except pharmacy) a huge 0 rating as they are rude, lazy and unprofessional.

They advertise that they've served over 4,000,000 hot dogs which is pretty impressive for a spot this size. I asked if they were serving at that time in the morning around (11:00am) and she said they were hot and ready as soon as they open (music to my ears!). The combo of two dogs, chips, and a drink totaled something like $2.80. Talk about affordable! The dogs were ready quickly and I took a seat at the table in the back by the coolers. They were hot and fresh. The chili had a really nice tang and bite that complimented the creamy slaw really well. I also got a piece of pound cake because...why not? It was delicious as well. This place proves that gas station hot dogs should NOT be looked down upon.

Visited this thrift store for their big annual discount sale. The back half of the store (old…read morewarehouse) reeks of cigarette smoke. It was impossible to determine if the smell was coming from something inside the large room (i.e., furniture, rugs, items, etc.) or if that was just the way it always smelled. They keep the children's toys and items in this part of the store, among many other things. I've had severe asthma my whole life, so even just being in that room was enough to make me start coughing. They have so much of their own decor that it can be confusing when trying to figure out what is actually for sale and what belongs to the store. Additionally, the store does not individually price a large amount of items (which are clearly for sale!) which is very frustrating (some areas have signs w/prices, others do not). Items that have been priced, vary greatly. For example, a very cheap purse might be listed at $20+ while a name brand purse is listed at $8. They have a section of designer/name brand items that is also marked up significantly. It would make sense if their prices were a fraction of what the item cost brand-new, but they're out here charging $35+ for very used leggings! And they weren't even Lululemon! The cashier was disengaged and barely acknowledged shoppers, despite the long line. It takes .10 seconds to make eye contact and greet a person. There are so many better, more reasonably priced stores in the area, so this is a no for me.

Tough to lose a brand new customer over $6 even with the return of the item still pristine. The current manager, Brenda, is just a lovely person who always brightens my day, works so hard and takes pride in her store! James, Chris (both of them), and Brandy are hard workers who will take the time out of their busy day to help you with whatever you need. So many chain stores lose their heart but not these guys. The prices are what you would expect from a dollar store but the staff make it feel like a true small town family business who know you by name.
