This particular Publix is just off of Interstate 65 in Decatur, Alabama. The staff was friendly and the store is nicely laid out and has a pleasant ambiance which makes shopping all the better. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and no review of Publix would be complete without mentioning their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location.

You plug a quarter into your shopping basket to unchain it and start shopping. As I said, the prices are ridiculously low and pretty generic but there are some hidden gems. The strawberries (.99) were picked over and not too tempting though I'm sure they were looking better earlier in the day. I found some Maple Syrup/Pecan Instant Oatmeal for $1.74 and some health bars for $1.39, The frozen section had some nice products like choice steaks and burgers..the dessert section was meh. I liked it that the cashiers all sit and scan, placing it into a shopping cart. No bagging and no carpal!

The staff was friendly and the store had the usual selection one would expect from a Kroger supermarket. I grabbed a few of their flavored sparkling waters and I also bought their spicy beer mustard. I have to say that I was quite impressed after trying this supermarket brand of mustard. All in all, I find this a good location of Kroger and would definitely recommend here.

I would have left a while ago if not for a nice lady (I don't think works there anymore). after yesterday not even the one nice lady would keep me going back to that store. I talked with some women that told me the biggest lies I have ever heard, just because she didn't give us all of the refills she was supposed to. I am old and don't drive on ice plus my husband has dementia's and I can't leave him at home alone. Elizabeth at the front register is one of the nicest people I have ever encountered working a register. She knows which items you have that might be on sale and looks them up in the ad for you in no time flat. This is my only drugstore. They also have one or two Redbox units outside so I can get my medicine, some movies, and the popcorn to go with them. The drive-through isn't blazingly fast but when it comes to my medicine, I'd rather them take their time than to make a mistake. They are very good at their jobs.
