Depending on the day you go determines how much you spend. Fridays have the newest inventory and every item, I MEAN EVERY ITEM, you check out with is $8 a piece. The payment schedule is as follows: Friday $8 Saturday $6 Sunday $4 Monday $3 Tuesday $2 Wednesday $1 A few things I learned while here. Please respect their policy of not opening boxes on the floor. They have a dedicated room where they'll open it up for you and if you don't want it they'll retape it. The organization is that there is no organization. I did notice more home and tech accessories were towards the left of the store. Bulk food and drink items were in the back of the spot. Looo for the very back wall to the right and you'll see them do pop-up drop offs of various crates. It's a pretty fun way to score some deals. The employees stated this was "store policy," but when we respectfully asked to see the policy, the store manager later described it as a "preference" rather than an actual written policy. The conflicting explanations were confusing and made the situation even more frustrating. I understand and support responsible alcohol sales and compliance with age-verification laws. However, if a store is going to deny a legal purchase, customers should be given a clear, consistent explanation and be able to review the policy being enforced. The lack of transparency and inconsistent communication from management left a poor impression. I hope Walmart TRC provides better training and clearer guidance so customers are treated fairly and receive accurate information in the future.

I should have known better than to stop at a big box store in a small town. They have the smallest beverage section of any Walmart I have been to. This place was full of old people totally oblivious to their surroundings. I got hit and nearly hit by half a dozen seniors pushing their carts or driving one of those motorized carts. They were not paying attention to where they were going or they just did not care. Then another one cut in front of me and everyone else in line at the self checkout lane and the employee on duty did nothing to stop them. The parking lot was not even half full and yet this store was packed with shoppers. How did everyone get here?

We had the pleasure of talking with the grandson and his wife, who now run the business. They were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and genuinely happy to answer questions and help us pick out products. We brought home a jar of their extra hot green salsa, and wow...it is absolutely incredible. It has a serious kick, but the heat never overpowers the flavor. You can actually taste the fresh Hatch chiles instead of just burning your mouth. It's hands down one of the best salsas I've had. Supporting a third generation family business while taking home an authentic taste of Hatch made this one of our favorite stops in New Mexico. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Baked Goods out of a dumpster…read more Not once but twice I have purchased their pre-made baked goods from their display in front of the counter and it was trash. Lucky for me the first time a diligent young checker spotted 3 of the 4 Blueberry muffins i purchased(i have severe visual impairment) were covered in mold. But this time it wasn't visual, the Banana Nut mini-muffins were stale as little rocks. To be fair the vendor makes decent baked goods. This is TOTALLY on Pepper's for not inspecting their displays. The display baked goods are overpriced and rarely fresh but they are adequate when not spoiled. I like their muffins but I will no longer be purchasing anything off their display ever again. Once is a mistake twice is a problem. Whoever runs the Bakery is not competent or too distracted and it hurts their customers. That is all.

I was also happy to hear that they do sell their books online through Biblio and eBay as well (under Xochi's) Though most of the books are non-fiction, there are beautiful collectibles in wonderfully bound and printed hard copies. In the front by the door is the most beautiful selection of fiction, I'm so happy I stopped in and picked up this golden-edged hardcopy of The Tale of Two Cities! Stan is a wonderful human for donating books to the community and providing wonderful selections of free books outside his store at any given point for the local adults and children. Brett is a great local to chat with and was very helpful in trying to help me locate the books that I was searching for. He was very interesting and fun to chat with while perusing the front of the bookstore maze!

A scruffy bearded man, was just so rude, we will never We drove my 90 year old mother to town so she could go to this book store. We arrived at 10:45 AM, and the guy announced he was closing shortly. I explained we just wanted to buy a book, we would be quick. He told us to go to the other book store in town. There isn't any other book store in town that was open. He yells, "the thrift store!" If you don't want customers, don't have a retail store with an open sign!!!
