For example, the vegetarian area in the frozen department is very sad. However, they have like 3 or 4 freezers for ice cream. The produce section isn't very big; some things you have to really look at it because quality may or may not be good. I've noticed in other departments, they have full price items that are expired. I do like the produce bucks you get if you use SNAP. I buy groceries for someone as her caretaker, and it's nice to get the coupon for $20 worth of produce. That definitely helps a lot for someone with limited funds. Some of the employees are very nice and helpful. I've noticed the employees are usually very pleasant if I shop in the late morning. However, the afternoon employees that are checkers aren't very good at all. They seem to stand around and talk as you're trying to pay and leave. It's frustrating when you stand there for 10 minutes because the employees are too "busy" to help you. Hobart offers two supermarkets. Both have pretty high prices for what it is. With the town being in the middle of nowhere, they can definitely charge it. It's not terrible at United, I guess, but I continue to do shopping there as a caretaker due to a lack of options. I usually try to do grocery shopping in bigger towns before I get to Hobart.

They had ALL THE HERBS- I live in a huge city and wish our Walmart was like this. If I ever see basil, mint, or chives at my store it's like I've hit the lottery. Then, in a gesture that was both unexpected and genuinely thoughtful, he offered to check with his manager to see if they could stay open a little longer just for me. I assured him it wasn't necessary, but the offer itself spoke volumes. It's rare to find customer service that feels this personal and generous.
