The West Lafayette location is currently my go-to location since it's close to my work. Always friendly service and great products, just wish they'd change their hours back to open 24 hrs. Other than that, meijer is usually my first choice.

Only place I can find Harvard beets, everywhere else carries only pickled. The same with Brooks catsup. The store is usually clean. Not a real fan of the organization They chop up the isles. Making it difficult to find what you are looking for. The staff is very knowledgeable they are most courteous and helpful. Prices are more than at some stores but really pretty comparable. Love the value saver you earn points for groceries and gas. That being said it is one of the hardest apps to use. Most stores have a much easier way to check out and put your points reward cards in. Love they send you coupons on Things you buy based on your purchase of merchandise in their store. Love the fact that they have a pharmacy. However, I did not realize I was not earning points. I will have to see how that works. I know of another grocery chain that gives you credit for full cost of s script no matter how they are paid. Very unhappy that they rarely have medications at their store that you need without waiting for a day or two. So if I am really sick or need medication same day I go to Walmart or cvs or Kroger. I have to remind them of 90 day fills that my doctor puts in for or I am running there every week . Wish they could get it organized to be ready at the same time. The new drive through procedure has slowed the process down even more. Very confusing for many. The drive thru set up is very poor will not be surprised that someone fixent get run over or hit pole on builfingThe pharmacist and tech try to help and do all they can. Have observed signs saying entrance closed. Saw one poor lady with a walker, walk down to the other end in the rain in order to get in. Then saw people going in and out. Addressed this to them and they said that when it rains one door don't work but the others do. Should they put a sign saying the door broke use the other door. Not entrance closed When-in fact it is open. Last the check out are plentiful. Many wonderful staff to help. Very little waiting for help at register these workers go above and beyond in assisting as needed. THE VERY WORST THING ANOUT THE STORE HANDS DOWN.....No hand held scanners. Lifting large , heavy or mid shaped items is a royal pain. So while I do shop here it is not my everyday grocery for that reason. They rarely have a lane or available to check you out most of the time.

I don't like the Crawfordsville Kroger very well anyhow and go there if I need only 2 or 3 things. I hate it when some UNEDUCATED associate calls me hon in an ageist and condescending manner. The only time this behavior is appropriate is if an associate calls a child, friend or relative hon, sweetheart or any other name of endearment. But to call senior citizens, strangers and customers that, really? There are enough people that hate this kind of condescending behavior that it needs to be brought up to new employees during interviews, not to call the elderly, strangers and customers terms of endearment. Kroger management needs to get their heads out of their behinds and read below. Learn proper etiquette Some terms of endearment can feel condescending or insulting when used, especially in certain contexts or by strangers. These include terms like "honey," "sweetheart," "dear," "sport," "girl," "boy," "guy," and "love". Here's a more detailed look: * Condescending Usage: When used by someone in a position of authority or by a stranger, these terms can imply a lack of respect or a patronizing attitude. * Examples: A cashier calling a customer "honey" or a clerk at a store using "sweetheart" can be seen as demeaning. * Other examples of disliked terms: "sweet cheeks," "muffin," "cutie pie," "sweet pea," and "princess". * Context Matters: The same terms can be affectionate and endearing when used between close friends or partners, but can come across as insulting when used in a condescending or inappropriate way. * Workplace: Using these terms with coworkers can be considered verbal abuse or sexual harassment.

Located on the north end of Brookston, R&M Food Market is a wonderful grocery store. They are best…read moreknown for the quality of their meats (motto is: Where Meat is the Main Attraction!) They have a real butcher! My favorites are their NY strip steaks, sirloins, t-bones, and porterhouse as well as perfect cuts for pot roast (which I am making today for dinner). They have many cuts of beef and always have 3 grades of hamburger on hand, from standard to very lean, plus pre-made patties. Their whole chickens are always great and at a much better price than the big stores. there are pre-cut fryer parts, or all wings, all legs, boneless breasts, etc. Pork chops, cutlets, and loin are among the pork products. R&M also makes their own Italian sausage and bratwursts and they are excellent. New additions are bacon brats and jalapeno brats. I should mention they have giant cuts of meat you can take home and cut up yourself and you can have them cut meat to order -- you want two-inch-thick steaks? No problem! They have a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables plus locally grown seasonal favorites, corn watermelon and cantalope. Their white onions are very good. Excellent canned good selection includes national brands and the Shurefine and Value budget brands. Well stocked dairy and freezer (Prairie Farms ice cream is the BEST, but the pineapple sherbet is good, too!), cereal aisle, paper goods, baking aisle, pet food aisle, detergents and cleaning supplies, good soda pop selection, good and improving win and beer assortment, pretty much all of the basics. They carry some Mexican and Italian food items though not the depth you would find in a monster store. But what do you want? This is a locally-owned store with great sense of serving the community. If there is something you purchase regularly, they will do their best to stock it for you. The have a nice deli with all the cold-cuts and cheeses, and daily make salads, baked beans, two or three kinds of potato salad, and so on. They also make fried chicken, potato wedges, poppers, and a number of other deep fried items for a quick hot lunch or dinner when you don't have time to cook. Their nacho cheese is seriously awesome! You will find their weekly specials listed on the sign out front. I think you will love this great local grocery, its convenience and helpful friendly atmosphere. Whether you're shopping for the week, for an afternoon bar-b-cue, just ran out of baby food, R&M is a great place to shop.

The weekend manager was very discourteous when I asked her if she could do something to get more produce items so they won't run out. "I can't do anything about that," she said, and when i asked her if she could let someone who can know about the problem, she turned her back on me. This is the only R+M website i can find to complain. If there is a way to pass this on to those who do the stocking for your stores, i would appreciate it. You're going to lose much of my business because of the attitude of the manager and i spend $100 a week some weeks. Charles K.
