For instance, I woke up today, yet again, after 4 years of similar occurrences, with my face in an open book, my $1 clip-on LED book light still shining on it. How's *that* for a buck well-spent? ! Makes my bibliophile heart happy! And as I Swype this, I'm jamming to tunes through my $1 retractable headphones that I picked up just to have a spare set handy (good planning on my part there - I think my teenager ran off with my favorite set today. Handsy spawn, boooo!) Sure, the cord's a little short (only just barely lets my phone reach my pocket while in use) and I have to set the volume at max to reach the same decibel as half-volume on my usual pair, but the sound quality is way way better than I'd expect for a single dollar. Great place to pick up gift wrap, party decor, emergency dishware, cleaning supplies (fake Swiffer dusters FTW!), popsicleish frozen treats, and frozen appetizer-type snacks, burritos etc (absolutely, totally check expiration dates though! ). Oh, and pick up a book of the wait's long at WingStop next door, or you're headed toward the DMV down the street.

The item was purchased at this same store less than 30 days ago, and I had my ID and original payment method so the transaction could be located. The cashier I first encountered--a red-haired young woman with glasses and a large pink child-style bow--was immediately rude and sarcastic, incorrectly stating they "don't do refunds," refusing to contact a manager, and telling me I could wait or leave. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Only after an off-the-clock employee stepped in was a shift manager contacted. Another shift manager later clarified that the item could be exchanged by locating the receipt in the system, contradicting what the cashier insisted earlier. When I asked for leadership contact information and the cashier's name to file a complaint, the cashier openly refused, said "write me up or fire me or whatever" and walked out of the store. After checking Google and Yelp reviews, I found her exact description down to the child's bow in her hair and multiple prior complaints describing the same behavior and refusal to give her name, indicating a repeated issue. No one deserves to lose their job, but unpaid customer service training and refund-policy education are clearly necessary, especially during peak holiday season. Management needs to address recurring conduct issues at this location. Hey Natalie Mena... This you..... Do better!

My six-year-old daughter wanted to scan her own items, but one of your employees refused, stating that it was required for employees to scan the items. I noticed that other customers were allowed to scan their own items. When I asked for the employee's name, she refused to provide it. I then approached the employee at the main register for the name, but she also refused, stating that they were not allowed to give out their names.

The store is huge, so come with plenty of time so you can take a look at all of the sections. The checkout process was convenient, and there was an attendant who was very helpful in the checkout process. Thank you to Tomas for the help and the information. If you are visiting the area and you love, thrift thing, definitely stopped by Texas thrift.

The last time I was here (in June) the store was hot. The a/c was on but just for the back half of the store. I saw employees fanning theirselves down as they checked out the customers at the registers. Like any other thrift store it is hit or miss here for finding items. I recently found some vintage floral gallery art pieces from the 1990's for about $4 each. Dish ware, glassware, and items that may have a pair will be priced per each item so keep that in mind. I didn't see many sets sold together. There is so much clothing here and you will need to browse through all of it to find something great. I will say there are a lot of plus sizes or 2x and up sizing for women here. Not many thrift stores just north of here have plus sizes. The expensive items can be found in the front right before the registers. I saw some vinyl records behind the counter and saw a couple of worth-a-look titles to check out. I was disappointed in finding a Zappa vinyl LP that was in rough condition and priced at $50. In my humble opinion they might not know what they got for records and are pricing based off of title alone so be sure to check your record before making a decision to buy. Parking isn't a thing here as there is a large lot. There is even a spacious drop off donation spot here too that would be easy for someone to drop off items in bulk without any issue.
