I will NEVER patronize this particular Dollar Tree location again. Furthermore, I may suspend shopping at any Dollar Tree in the future. Today, I had an unpleasant encounter with a short, bald, middle-aged man who represented himself as the manager of the store. I have shopped this location primarily and predominately found both the managers and the staff to be professional, helpful, and pleasant to transact with. However, today when I came into the store devoid of shoppers, I selected 4 ceramic mugs and other items to the register. I was checked out and I looked around for something to wrap the mugs in to avoid breakage. I have shopped in Dollar tree store locations at this and other locations both in NJ and other states, and the register clerk has ALWAYS wrapped my breakables like glass and mugs. ALWAYS. When I enquired for newspaper because I saw I would need to perform this function myself, I was told by this individual that Dollar Tree NEVER wraps anything and this was as long as he had worked for Dollar Tree. I replied that he must not have been working for the company for long because I had shopped here and at other stores for more than a decade and that has always been the case. He further added that if he caught any of his employees doing this for a customer they would be fired on the spot. He was belligerent. I own Dollar Tree stock and I am offended by this employee who ought be providing customer service not unwarranted push back to a regular customer. This person was troubled. If it were me, and Dollar Tree changed policy, I would certainly not be speaking to a customer so rudely while glaring at them. And this Napolean complex employee should not be in charge of a store. It's a shame but in this retail environment, I can shop elsewhere for comparable items. I don't have to drive to a store to be treated shabbily. read more

You can find some good deals here, especially on food, given historic inflation and Bare Shelves Biden's disastrous domestic policies. But be prepared for trash people, both shopping and behind the counter. We're talking teeth-challenged, spinal meningitis, New Jersey hillbillies here, folks. We're talking sweatpants-wearing, weed-reeking, welfare-dependent, grammar-fearing mutants picking up cheap supplies for their meth labs. But again, good deals to be had. read more

This used to be a nice store where you could stop in to get a few odds and ends for a good price but now with what I'm assuming is new management the store has been on a rapid decline. the place is always filthy whether they just opened or at the end of the day I don't believe the store is ever cleaned. they never open on time people are standing outside waiting for the manager or for a keyholder to show up to open the store almost on a daily basis. I drive past this store every morning and it's become a game to see how many people are waiting after 9a to get into the dollar tree. The female cashier that is there regularly is friendly but the African American manager is the issue with this store. read more

I've had multiple bad experiences here, really too many to cover but basically just rude ignorant people. Ripping me off, ignoring me, being generally rude, etc. I just ignored them because it is a dollar store and it wasn't worth my worries and frustrations. But this time topped the cake. I drove 25 minutes to get some specific items, getting there at 9:30pm. I checked online and checked the door time. They are set to be open until 10:00 pm. Well I walk up and a young guy meets me and tells me they are closing early today. I said why and he said the last customer is coming out now. It wasn't in a nice friendly customer service way either, it was short and rude. Well number one you didn't give me a reason. Number two there was actually someone behind the person still in the store. And number three he was rude. Overall worst Dollar Tree I've ever been to- go to Flanders or Mount Olive one. Never dealt with such rude people, and I work in customer service. read more

My only complaint is that the prices are kind of on the high end. They tend to be a little messy but it's a dollar store and it gets shopped like crazy. But I'm not buying 8 paper plates for 5$ when I can get 20 plates for $3 at Walmart. Sorry. read more

Don't get me wrong, for the selection of Dollar Tree and the company as a whole, they're great. For people who are skeptical of stores like this, go to Dollar Tree -- it's much different than the mom and pop dollar stores and nothing like dollar general, besides the set-up. The prices are all $1 or less, and over time you'll learn what products are worth buying there compared to a store like Wal-Mart or ShopRite. This DT in particular though has ceiling tiles falling apart. More are missing with every weekly visit I have. It makes people feel not so good about shopping there. If they paid for ceiling tiles to be redone, I could almost guarantee they'd have more business -- because if your place is falling apart, who would want to shop there? The Budd Lake DT location is much newer, although it is smaller. read more

Since I can not find a way to review the store in Washington nj someone told to do it under the one in masnfield. I dont have idea if is a franchise or corporate but if they don't turn the AC on they will loose all the customers, I was there the other day and it was better outside than inside, what a cheap owners and forcing employees to work there under those conditions, in my case I dont go to that particular store.... read more

Dirty! Carts that belongs in the back are literally on every aisle. I just go there to get little things then rush out. My OCD in me wanted to shove all carts in the back, fill up empty shelves and clean the entire store! Back doors always open so we customers can see what's stocked or not. People there have way too many time on their hands. read more

The Store is not stocked well all the isles are jammed with boxes of merchandise not on the selves and they are not open to 10:00 every night today 6/5/2019 they closed at 7:00 . read more
