David is the consummate professional and his company reflects his understanding of customer service. We purchased a kitchen table and chair set from David and it was delivered on time and in excellent shape. After only a few weeks the table began to break down, some sort of manufacturer defect. David was most gracious in arranging the ordering of and the delivery of the replacement table. When it came time for us to order a new platform bed, we knew that the only place we wanted to do business with was Livingston's Inc. DBA Livingston's Furniture. We went in on a Sunday and while David was not there, his sales staff was most pleasant and reflected the level of customer service we had come to expect from David. As always, the price was more than fair and the salesman agreed to haul away our old box spring and bed frame for a nominal fee (again, more than reasonable). The delivery was terrific once more. We live in a house built in the 1870's and getting deliveries in and out of the house is not easy. Further, we live downstairs from the main level and communicating where we live and how to get into the house is difficult. The driver was courteous and expertly assembled the bed in a matter of minutes, then hauled the old (badly damaged) box spring from old stone storage room. We love supporting small businesses and I encourage all Fulton-Montgomery area residents to support David Livingston and his family's business that has been serving our communities since 1901. Don't be misled by the store's title, they sell more than mysteries. The inventory is not what I would call extensive, but they have a more-than-adequate selection in a wide variety of categories. There should be something for everyone here. They also carry a nice selection of children's products and a small, but fun, selection of puzzles and games. Parking is not an issue here, there is plenty of street parking right in front of the store and nearby.

You do have to do some digging to find the good stuff in some sections but honestly it's worth it! They block out or remove the brand name on their tags but sometimes you can tell what it was and see just how much of a bargain you have on your hands! I got a pair of the coziest pants ever for $4 and I'm still over the moon about it! My mom is already asking when we will go back. So if you're looking for some new threads or shoes, it's worth a visit! (Especially before she returns and buys it all up! )

A deli counter with no actual visible deli in it was open, and in addition to 12 foot sub sandwiches, they also had sammies for the individual. I was craving the egg salad...but alas they were out, so i settled for the ham salad. Yes....ham salad. Cubed ham tossed with mayo and you know what? It was great. Great the next day too! You may walk in here thinking you won't find what you want....but i think you just gotta know where to find it. With some Wise potato chips and Vitamin Waters we were set and good to go back the block which we came....all for a mere $10. I keep talking about the bargains I'm getting out here in Upstate New York. Shit may be cheap....but to be fair...its still upstate New York...I'll hang onto the SF prices a bit longer.
