Original review: So Almost Perfect is a chain with several locations. Prior to my visit to this Brockville location, I had only ever been to the Toronto location. I would say that the Brockville location is comparable to the Toronto location. Almost Perfect is a grocery store outlet. They sell items that are "almost perfect" like mis-formed chocolate bars, or broken cookies. They also sell items that are approaching their best-before date or discontinued products, like things in flavours that didn't sell well. Their prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. I got some kale chips that usually sell for $6.99 a bag at Loblaws for only $3.33 a bag (the "best-before date" was 3 months from the date of purchase, so not bad at all). They had lots of Udi's gluten-free breads going for $10 for 3 loaves. They had Annie's organic gummies for $2.99 a box. Inventory changes regularly, so it's a surprise with every visit :) This location is a stand alone store (not in a strip mall). There's an attached parking lot with free parking. Staff are super nice and helpful. They only take cash or debit. No credit cards. This place is awesome. If I lived in Brockville, I would go every week!

They have lots of limited edition foods, like on my last visit I saw Banana Creme Frosted Flakes, and special flavoured Oreos. It can be a bit messy in there, but hey it's a bargain outlet, so don't expect a shopping experience like you're going to a Williams-Sonoma, lol. The strip mall that this Ollie's is in is a bit rundown. This location is a bit more disorganized than others that I've been to in New York (I haven't been to any Ollie's in any other state though). Purchased a button maker online and add-on die. Came quickly…read more Turns out the one i got was defective in that the add-on dies didn't exactly fit and got stuck once they were in there. The main machine was fine however. Contacted customer service and was told to send the machine back so they could potentially fix or replace. However, they wouldn't provide a return label. This is a heavy machine that needs to be shipped internationally. Why should I be responsible for return shipping costs when it obviously has a problem? I could see if i just wanted to return it. I offered to return the defective parts, they insist that i send the whole machine back. Didn't even offer to send replacements. It's not a perfect machine and not without it's other issues outside of the main one, but this just puts the nail in the coffin for me. Haven't gotten a response to my latest email. Not gonna be purchasing anything else from here again for fear I'd get stuck with something that doesn't work.
