Dollarhide Estate Sales (Diana & her daughter) do a remarkable job at organizing, pricing & selling whole households full of items, after a home has been sold or you decide to move and no longer need the furniture, kitchen items, entire garages full of tools, patio furniture, lamps, art, mirrors etc. My favorite day is 1/2 price Saturday (most items over $1 are HALF PRICE on last day of sale. Everything is organized, cleaned and priced. You'll need to cart away purchases and load them into your own vehicle. Bring along a strong helper, if you plan to purchasing large, heavy items. They usually start at 8am sharp and don't allow early guests. You can leave a bid on an item. The bid has to be higher then the 1/2 price of the item. If it hasn't sold on half price day, they'll sell it to the highest bid. Every estate sale is different. Some have high end furniture. Some have reasonably priced furniture. Some have unique items. We have interviewed other companies and the fee for an estate sale was 30% fee/commission of total sales across the board. We were referred to Diana of Dollarhide Estate Sales! Oh, what a blessing! Her team happened to have a cancellation which created an opening on the weekend we needed. Diana and Carisa, her daughter, have been in this business for 20 years. They came to our home, looked at what we had, they explained their process and what to expect. They scheduled a sale date (and because of a quick closing) the next day they went to work. They left no stone unturned in our home, storage & lawn. We took what we wanted first (or tagged large items) and they did the rest! They communicated with us throughout the process, and assisted us with minimum bid pricing on special high value items. At end of the sale, they arranged for pick up and donation of any remaining items. They gathered any debris/trash and left it bagged or boxed in neat order for us to dispose of on trash day. We returned to a home ready to transition to the buyer. Dollarhide Estate Sales provided the most efficient process that was so worthwhile! I had inquired about an estate sale through this company and was told they were busy until October. Then I didn't hear anything further. After messaging them today, I was told that she talked with her crew, and they did not want to do it! How can you make that decision when you didn't even bother to come and see what we have???
