I, too, have received horrible, unprofessional customer service (if you can call it that!!) from this company. The owner, Tim, has basically avoided all of my emails (I ordered a miniature chair and was sent the wrong one....I shipped it back at my expense and almost 3 MONTHS later have yet to receive a refund to my credit card. I have been nothing but nice and patient up until now and my next step is to take it to social media, where I have a nice, healthy following. Revenge will feel sweet, I will do everything in my power to ensure that no one I know buys from this pathetic excuse for a company. I am beyond frustrated!!! By the way, I thought I would do a quick Google serach to see if others have experienced difficulties with this company and this site (and your reviews) popped up right away. I ordered a miniature guitar from Dollhouse Collectables. I received a blue guitar in a different style from the red guitar that was pictured on the web site. The owner agreed to replace it with the red guitar that was pictured and agreed (twice) to reimburse me for return shipping. He sent the red guitar but didn't reimburse me the return shipping. $2.39 isn't such a big price to pay to keep your customers happy and avoid reviews like this. Buyer beware. This business really deserves negative stars. I bought some supplies from their website, which were packaged so poorly that several items were essentially matchwood when they arrived. I made several good faith attempts to contact the retailer about getting a replacement, but got four to five word responses back, essentially refusing to communicate with me. Finally, it was revealed that I was expected to pay shipping back on the ruined items for a replacement, something that was unclear in their vague and contradictory store policy. When I emailed saying that I had contested the charge with my credit company for the damaged items, I received an extremely hostile and harassing phone call. Do not do business with these people. I don't know how they've survived so long with their shocking customer service. read more

Recently I was told the owner of this company is dealing with a serious illness and that the company is backed up as a result. That may explain the current delays and mix-ups, which under the circumstances, are understandable. However, when a company doesn't provide proper reimbursement to a customer in over three months, there is legitimate reason for concern. Months ago my friend ordered two items, but received two substitute purchases instead. One item wasn't even remotely related to what she ordered, and while she was charged per her order, what she received was of a lesser value than what she paid. She wanted her charge card credited, but accepted store credit instead. However, when she ordered an item to be credited to her account, she was once again charged for it. The store at one point owed her over $30.00, and as of this writing (December 2013) she still hasn't been fully reimbursed. I too encountered a lack of reimbursement, and I had to contact my credit card company to resolve the issue. I think it is fair to say, however, that in prior years I had no issues with Dollhouse Collectibles, so based on this and their current circumstances, I adjusted my star rating and would be willing to give them a future order. However, if you are purchasing an item as a gift, are in a hurry to receive your merchandise, or dislike having to scrutinize your credit card charges, I would wait until Spring 2014 before placing an order. Hopefully, by then their current customer service issues will be worked out. read more

I ordered 4 pieces of furniture. However 2 of the pieces were not the correct size for my daughters dollhouse and I wanted to send them back for store credit. I called Tim to set up a return. He was EXTREMELY rude to me on the phone. He even hung up on me! I couldn't believe this grouch runs a business! Nevertheless, I sent the 2 pieces back in the unopened packages and carefully packaged everything. I followed all the return instructions for store credit and sent it back priority mail. I couldn't not believe it when a couple weeks later I got the same package back! He claimed that the post office damaged the box and so he was refusing it and sending it back! When I received the box I noticed that there was a small dent in the box but beyond that there was nothing wrong with the contents. It seems to me this man does not want happy customers and he certainly succeeded with me. read more

Do not order from this company. They sent me the wrong product and the staff was very unfriendly. I was told by the male who answered the phone to take my product and shove it up my ass and to go fuck myself....horrible customer service. Vendor sent me substations for items I ordered that differed significantly from what I paid for. Had to pay to send them back. Received damaged goods. Sent it back asking for a new one and I got the old one glued back together. Would not reduce the price. I would never order from these people again. read more

Disgusting service and disgraceful attitude towards customers! Twice I ordered from him and both times sent the wrong item,so I returned it and was told he would send the correct one, which never came. I honestly believe he never sent it. This man who runs it, Tim, seems unable to cope or keep up with the demands of his business! When I emailed him regarding not receiving my item he became extremely hostile and abusive even though I tried to keep it nice! This man should NOT be in business!!!!!!
