Once again a friend boated us in on a perfect October day with a few friends. The food, service, and views were excellent.

Truthfully the best blueberry muffin I've ever had! It came with the meal but I ordered a second one. The tuna was pretty good too! Appreciated the price point and the views were spectacular. The service was extremely quick and friendly as well. If I'm ever back in the area, I will 100% go again.

A well established landmark based on the ocean, with access from dock to table, or vehicle to table. You choose. Food is always outstanding Service staff are repeat seasonal which makes this gem a well oiled machine. Ambiance-wide open spans to ocean. Perfect for family's with children. Pickup treasures from the beach, bring your camera for memory's, and come on an empty stomach. Oh, the blueberry muffins, best ever.

A shining gem located in the charming confines of Casco Bay. Is always a must visit when we are in the area. The space is perfect for small or large groups. With seating options indoors and out. What makes it even more spectacular are the options for arrival: car, boat or helicopter. Interestingly, it's not a rare sight to watch a helicopter or two landing. On the food front, the menu lays out a good number of choices seafood and non but the piece de resistance is the fish chowder. Imagine, a clam chowder, but with hearty chunks of haddock or cod. It is a ballet of buttery, creaminess that dances delightfully. The finale? It's served with a sweet, homemade blueberry muffin on the side. What about downsides? The prices are a bit steep. And not all dishes hold their own. The fried clams, for instance, an underwhelming portion. Dolphin Marina is well worth anchoring your boat at. Two words of advice as you chart your course to this restaurant: Come hungry. Prepare for irresistible chowder and beautiful views of the bay + islands.

This was our fourth visit in three years time. Although it was overcast and cool, we had an amazing time. First, talk about coincidences, as we parked in the parking lot, my wife received a text from a former colleague who is now retired, telling us that he and his wife were at the Dolphin. It was three minutes ago. We entered and after making our reservation request, looked around and found our friends. We were seated on the deck as they were seated on the lawn. After greeting them and shocking them in the process, we sat down and enjoyed a delightful lunch/early dinner. My wife ordered the seafood risotto with shrimp, sea scallops and salmon in a delicious sauce and creamy risotto. I had the seared tuna which was in a word delicious! Morgan, our server was attentive without hovering, cordial without being saccharine. Simply put it was a great meal with the benefit of a "million dollar view."

Harpswell is an adorable little town, with the perfect marina to go with it. It was a beautiful day, so we sat in the back patio. It was covered but very open feeling. We all opted for either haddock sandwiches or lobster rolls. The haddock was perfectly fried and lightly battered. The lobster rolls were filled with chunky tender lobster. The house fries tasted great. My aunt was pleased to get a blueberry muffin--says they are to die for, but I was too full to be jealous. As an extra bonus, we got to watch the interesting process of cleaning the docks at the marina. A truck would drag a section of the wharf up to the waters edge, and men with shovels would whack away all of the shells and debris stuck to the docks. It was quite entertaining for a bit.

Visiting friends who summer in Harpswell--this is their go-to place. There are gorgeous water views from the deck, but it was a bit breezy, so we opted for indoors. Our waitress was spectacular, and I regret not getting her name. (I'll check on receipt later and update). We enjoyed an old fashioned and watermelon mint spritzes. Entrees included the parm crusted haddock, Lobster & Scallops, and grilled salmon. What impressed me was the kitchen's willingness to swap out the blackened swordfish with salmon because I preferred the sides but don't care for swordfish. Everything was delicious. Fun fact: the Dolphin's bread service is actually a scrumptious blueberry muffin with pat of butter. We were so stuffed, we couldn't consider dessert!

A local told us about the place and I'm glad she did. It was totally worth the drive. We sat inside as it was drizzling outside but with all the windows had a great view. Our waitress was fast, friendly and informative. Our food was really good as well. I highly recommend the blueberry (vodka) lemonade but be careful, it goes down easy. The next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely come back.

Absolutely amazing food and service to go with the awesome view! I got to check this place out during our trip to Maine this past summer. We started off with complimentary homemade blueberry muffins, absolutely amazing! So fresh, warm, soft, and delicious blueberries. It was so good, we bought some togo for breakfast in the morning. For appetizer we got the Tuna Crudo, fresh tuna, love the avocado cream, and crispy fried wontons, light and delicious. We also ordered the Whole Chicken Wings, WOW WOW WOW! These wings were perfectly seasoned with their Jamaican Jerk Spice, then you get that unique Maine Blueberry BBQ on the side. flavors galore! An absolute must try appetizer here. We loved it so much we ordered a second plate of it. For entree we got the Lobster & Scallops, truly very good amount of protein in here, light pasta dish. I will say, the noodles could have been cooked a tad bit longer, only because it was too al dente. Other than that good pasta, but can't say it wowed me in anyway. We also got the Seafood Risotto, very good, lots of protein, all cooked perfectly. Like the pasta, I can't say it was out of this world. Decent, just not something I'd order again. Overall, the restaurant has awesome service, they were busy but the server made sure we had everything we need and was very friendly. The view, awesome blueberry muffins, and amazing appetizer is why I'll be back, but will definitely try different entrées next time.

    Haddock chowder is scrumptious!

The quintessential Maine spot for authentic seafood and spectacular views from every table in the Dolphin Restaurant!! We love that the owner comes around to chat with patrons. A show stopper and price performer is the fish chowder and home made blueberry muffin!! Perfect lunch!

An employee loading soda into a machine nearby, however, told us gruffly not to bother to stand there because the two cooks were not yet inside and we "weren't going to get anything" until they were ready. We acknowledged her politely and sat down at the picnic table right in front of the sign. 20 minutes later, we were still waiting for someone to come out to take our order. When another customer arrived and stood in front of the sign, a woman came out immediately and took that customer's order, the customer who arrived 20 minutes after we did. Nobody from the food shack acknowledged us or asked us if we were ready to order. If someone had simply said to us, "Hey, sorry for the delay, we're a little behind, but we'll be out to take your order as soon as possible, it would have been fine. Instead, there was nothing. Not even an acknowledgement that we were even there. We all decided to eat somewhere else because we felt so disrespected. The loss to Erica's was $100 for lunch sales and $150 for the lobsters we were going to buy for a party that night. Multiply that by the regular customers we may well have become in the future if we had had the chance to enjoy the food.

And I'm writing this review because it was at Cook's that I had the best, and I do mean the BEST, lobster roll in my life. I've had many, but none where the lobster was so sweet, so tender. I had the Jumbo buttered roll (twice the meat of the regularly roll) and there was SO much lobster in it. Yes, it was outrageously expensive $($72) but that's lobster in Maine these days. Regardless of price, it was worth it! My wife had the slightly less expensive lobster saute (she indicates that it was at least a stick of butter that was in the skillet) and likewise it was outstanding. Kudos to the cooks, the lobstermen who went out in the morning to bring in this delicious catch, and the poor crustacean who sacrified his life so that we could enjoy his/her contribution. And the service, it goes without saying, was prompt, oh so courteous, and delightful. You have to go here if you want a taste of Maine seafood.
