We went without a reservation, had a drink outside on the patio and enjoyed the view and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Our table had a wonderful view of the water. Our server was friendly and efficient! The fish dishes were exceptional. All the meals were terrific. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Will be back!!

Came on a Saturday night with no reservation, waited about 20 minutes for an open table. Ben took great care of us and was very efficient! Service with a smile! The crab cakes were amazing, I loved my walnut crusted salmon. The mussels were bland but a huge portion. My friend had the seafood risotto which she really enjoyed also. Always a great time at the dolphin!

Blueberry Muffins!! Service was excellent!!! Our waitress was awesome! Everything we ordered was delicious. The drive there was very nice but at times thought I was headed down a dead end road... the gift was the view from the end of the peninsula where the restaurant sits. Just perfect!! The view was worth the trip alone. Great for small to large groups. We visited in July, it was pretty busy during dinner but didn't see anyone really waiting longer than a few minutes to get a table. We were seated inside next to the panoramic windows. The outdoor patio and seating area was pretty big but was raining the day we visited so we couldn't enjoy it. The bar area also had plenty of seating and the same beautiful view.

Wire in my food at 4:00.

Spend $180 for 2 of us without drinks. My seafood dish had a huge curly wire in it that the waitress said came from their blueberry muffin tins. Never compensated any of my meal (which was $45 by the way). $5 extra for bread at your table? Really? Tiny TINY portions. Food is good but nothing special. I'd think twice.

Truthfully the best blueberry muffin I've ever had! It came with the meal but I ordered a second one. The tuna was pretty good too! Appreciated the price point and the views were spectacular. The service was extremely quick and friendly as well. If I'm ever back in the area, I will 100% go again.

A well established landmark based on the ocean, with access from dock to table, or vehicle to table. You choose. Food is always outstanding Service staff are repeat seasonal which makes this gem a well oiled machine. Ambiance-wide open spans to ocean. Perfect for family's with children. Pickup treasures from the beach, bring your camera for memory's, and come on an empty stomach. Oh, the blueberry muffins, best ever.

A shining gem located in the charming confines of Casco Bay. Is always a must visit when we are in the area. The space is perfect for small or large groups. With seating options indoors and out. What makes it even more spectacular are the options for arrival: car, boat or helicopter. Interestingly, it's not a rare sight to watch a helicopter or two landing. On the food front, the menu lays out a good number of choices seafood and non but the piece de resistance is the fish chowder. Imagine, a clam chowder, but with hearty chunks of haddock or cod. It is a ballet of buttery, creaminess that dances delightfully. The finale? It's served with a sweet, homemade blueberry muffin on the side. What about downsides? The prices are a bit steep. And not all dishes hold their own. The fried clams, for instance, an underwhelming portion. Dolphin Marina is well worth anchoring your boat at. Two words of advice as you chart your course to this restaurant: Come hungry. Prepare for irresistible chowder and beautiful views of the bay + islands.

This was our fourth visit in three years time. Although it was overcast and cool, we had an amazing time. First, talk about coincidences, as we parked in the parking lot, my wife received a text from a former colleague who is now retired, telling us that he and his wife were at the Dolphin. It was three minutes ago. We entered and after making our reservation request, looked around and found our friends. We were seated on the deck as they were seated on the lawn. After greeting them and shocking them in the process, we sat down and enjoyed a delightful lunch/early dinner. My wife ordered the seafood risotto with shrimp, sea scallops and salmon in a delicious sauce and creamy risotto. I had the seared tuna which was in a word delicious! Morgan, our server was attentive without hovering, cordial without being saccharine. Simply put it was a great meal with the benefit of a "million dollar view."

Harpswell is an adorable little town, with the perfect marina to go with it. It was a beautiful day, so we sat in the back patio. It was covered but very open feeling. We all opted for either haddock sandwiches or lobster rolls. The haddock was perfectly fried and lightly battered. The lobster rolls were filled with chunky tender lobster. The house fries tasted great. My aunt was pleased to get a blueberry muffin--says they are to die for, but I was too full to be jealous. As an extra bonus, we got to watch the interesting process of cleaning the docks at the marina. A truck would drag a section of the wharf up to the waters edge, and men with shovels would whack away all of the shells and debris stuck to the docks. It was quite entertaining for a bit.

Visiting friends who summer in Harpswell--this is their go-to place. There are gorgeous water views from the deck, but it was a bit breezy, so we opted for indoors. Our waitress was spectacular, and I regret not getting her name. (I'll check on receipt later and update). We enjoyed an old fashioned and watermelon mint spritzes. Entrees included the parm crusted haddock, Lobster & Scallops, and grilled salmon. What impressed me was the kitchen's willingness to swap out the blackened swordfish with salmon because I preferred the sides but don't care for swordfish. Everything was delicious. Fun fact: the Dolphin's bread service is actually a scrumptious blueberry muffin with pat of butter. We were so stuffed, we couldn't consider dessert!

I never mentioned that our waitress was also as good the food, I believe her name was Tanner she was so helpful, sweet and had a great mannerism too , I also made it a point to tell her coworkers to tell their manager of how great our waitress was, it's hard nowadays to find someone who goes above and beyond doing her job, 5 stars for your work .. Thanks Again Cooks we love coming back to this area. Certainly worth the visit.. you'll all thank me later, Noel

We ordered the seafood combo basket with haddock, scallops, clams, shrimp, and onion rings, along with a lobster roll. The seafood combo was definitely generous in portion size--there was a lot of food--but unfortunately, quantity couldn't make up for the lack of quality. The haddock was dry and completely lacked flavor. The scallops were overcooked and tough, and the shrimp were tiny and tasted like frozen, pre-packaged shrimp. Even the onion rings were disappointing--they were overly greasy, and the batter had virtually no seasoning or flavor. The lobster roll was a decent size, but it also lacked the flavorful taste you'd expect. It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't memorable or worth recommending. We spent over $90 for what turned out to be a less than mediocre lunch. The atmosphere didn't help either. The inside dining area was warm and uncomfortable. They have a beautiful rooftop deck with an amazing view, but there's no canopy or shade, making it difficult to enjoy on a sunny day. The metal stools become hot in the sun and have no backs, so they're uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes. Overall, this place has a great location and beautiful views, but the food and dining experience simply didn't justify the price.
