It is a major tourist site today and is reputed to be the French capital of gastronomy. "GB", as it is known locally, has a very popular outside patio for dining. Our group of six dined al fresco on the patio for both a lunch and a dinner at this establishment in the Lyon suburb of Bron. GB's menu is somewhat limited with a small selection of appetizers and salads, along with grilled steaks and fish. Starting with a pair of popular and ultra-fresh apps of Burrata and Carpaccio, our group stuck with the basics including the Grilled Filet of Beef and Salmon Steak. Garnished with fresh veggies, rice or this country's famous fries, the entrees were everything they we expected and more. It's like they don't like Americans. Very few people lots of staff. They never acknowledged me even when I said something. I sat in a booth for 15 mins wanting to order. Then I finally approached the bar asked nicely that I would like to order. I was pushed back to my table with hand Chester's said they would be there then they all looked at me and tended to other people that just came in. I got up walked by the bar where they are were and told them their service sucks never again. I have never experienced this ever in my life. Retired vet just wanted a beer and a burger, what's wrong with those people. Because of this crap being totally discriminatory towards me, the way the head cook looked at me despises me for what, that I'm an American and he just doesn't like them so he told his staff to ignore me? I need to take a bunch of my French friends and colleagues over there and really give him a piece of my mind. All the French people I have met on my many journeys to France have been absolutely wonderful except for this place, sure would like to know why?
