Today, I decided to try one of their personal-sized pizzas (you can get a small or a medium; the large is definitely a two-person job). You can choose to have a stuffed crust (your choice of 2 types of cheeses), which I did & it was really great. You can get 2 separate toppings on the medium, but I went with the old fan favorite of just pepperoni. They prepare it at the time you order it, and they are very generous with the cheese and topping. I was hardly able to finish it, but I forced myself because it was so good. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd highly recommend Mister Pizza.

The service is also very good & the décor is also very tasteful. They also have a decent wine list with wines at reasonable prices. If you're here for dinner, they make pizzas in a brick oven (unfortunately, you can only get pizzas at dinnertime--not at lunch). At lunch, they also have a buffet and a lunch menu (I prefer to order from the regular menu); they also have valet parking. Oh yeah, the items on the regular menu serve 2, but even with help, two of us have never been able to finish the main course (which is just fine, cuz you get to have the doggy bag later).

I had been working at the Fiat Goiana plant which is an hour out of town, so often we wouldn't get back to Joao Pessoa until 9 or 10pm. Luckily they stay open 'till midnight, and even arriving at 10:00, there were plenty of other patrons.

The very large cachaça menu is gone and the décor has a cafeteria feel to it now. Instead of being a unique place, they've changed to a mediocre place to eat. The food--now that was special (but not in a good way). We started with shiitake & shimeji mushroom bruschetta. Absolutely without seasoning; I am sure the mushrooms were from a jar, because they had that metallic flavor. We ordered pizza for our main course. I have had thin crust pizza, but this was ridiculous. The crust was thinner than a cracker. The toppings & cheese were so oily that it was dripping; the pepperoni was awful, the pesto was even worse (I had to scrape it off before I could even tolerate it). There was no sauce on the pizza, but no surprise because the cracker dough would have dissolved. I would never eat here again and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who likes Italian food or pizza. You'd be better off eating a frozen supermarket pizza.
