I tell you, I love everything about this unique steak house. I was impressed by the set up and the ideas that was involved in the design of the restaurant. I will post pictures for you to see what the restaurants is all about. They have taste in every piece that they have brought into the business. I don't want to say to much do to the privacy of the owners but the story behind opening this place is very interesting. Two brothers open this place up. One of them is a real attorney. Took his BAR exam and decided that the law is not his thing and decided to open up a WOW steak house. This guts are the owners of Cork & Slice. Which is booming as of today. They have full bar. Great TV set up for sports events. Excellent menu. The best glass fridge I have ever seen! The waitress was so pleasant to us she gave us decanter for our wine free of charge. Doma Land and Sea is a brand new restaurant that opened in Cedarhurst, NY. When you walk into this very stylish, upscale the first thing that caught my eye was the glass case showing off their beautiful tomahawk steaks, and other offerings. The decor of the restaurant is in dark brown and golds. It is lavish and very inviting. On the walls are beautiful works of art, Marilyn Monroe and John Lennon, just to name a few. The hostess is very welcoming and I was seated right away. Upon seating we were given menus right away. We were shown the offerings of their special cocktails. I asked which ones she recommended. My friend had the Purple Rain, butterfly flower vodka, simple syrup, lemon, blueberries and thyme. The cocktail was so colorful and pretty. I had the Dominator, pineapple juice, simple syrup, vodka and mint. These cocktails were beautiful and delicious. We were given warm sour dough bread with olive oil to dip as we enjoyed our cocktails. Our waiter came over and told us about the menu and offered his suggestions. We ordered the Barbacoa Beef Tacos. Three smoked jalapeno BBQ, pickled onions and cilantro were very tasty. We also had the Doma Platter from their Sushi menu. This included nigiri and sushimi. The sushi was outstanding. It was definitely the best sushi, I ever had. We ordered the Grain Salad.This salad consisted of various grains, dried fruits, seeds and mixed greens. It was an excellent salad. For our main course, we ordered the The Tomahawk Chop For Two. A 42 oz, 28 day dry aged piece of beef, was extraordinary. It was cooked to medium rare perfection. This was literality, melt in your mouth tender. Absolutely one of the most tender piece of meat that I ever had. Along side for our sides that included onion rings and grilled vegetables. They were perfectly matched to the beef. For dessert we had the Doma Donuts, served with a vanilla and strawberry dipping sauces. The donuts were warm and wonderful. We also ordered the Blackout Cake, A flourless chocolate cake with whipped cream. Both of our desserts were delicious. we enjoyed decaf cappuccino. Doma Land and Sea, was magnificent. The food was outstanding and the service was sublime. It is a true dining experience. The service was wonderful. From the General Manager to the busboy, everyone did their best to make sure that you had an exquisite experience at Doma. I should also remember to state that Doma Land and sea is kosher. This by far was an unbelievable experience. This quality of this restaurant stands on it's own merit. The fact that it is kosher, shows that kosher food can stand tall with the other steakhouses in the area. I definitely be back for a return visit. read more

I came in from the south of France wanting a Kosher rib steak. Came to Doma with my Mom. Not only was the service outstanding, the food was delicious and the people were so wonderful to us. They recharged my phone which died, and when it took us forever for our Lyft to come, Eddie, one of the owner brothers, gave my Mom and me a lift home in a thunderstorm pouring down rain. This is the worst Steak house I have ever been in. First it was freezing in this restaurant, like 60 degrees. 200 people by the time we walked out and half of them never took off there coats. The steak was under cooked and way to expensive for the portion size. If not for the staff we would have got up and left as soon as we sat down. The hand cut fryers seemed like they were from a box. One other thing, this place welcomes you only if you're judged to be of a certain social or cultural class. Came here for NYE dinner. The pre fixe menu was 4courses $175pp, I was told $135 when I made the reservation. The food was okay, but I was disappointed with the selections they made on the menu. Their a la carte menu is more appealing. We had 2 or 3 different waiters. They played what I'm guessing is Hebrew music all night, I understand it is a heavily Jewish area, but they didn't switch it up at all. We asked for a quite place to sit they placed us near a table with fifteen 12 year olds. Then they moved us to another area where the decible app on my phone had a continuous reading of 80 decibels. My favorite kosher restaurant, I have been many times. I enjoy the appetizers more than the food here, I have tried pretty much everything on the menu. My favorites are : the lamb bread, burgers, truffle tuna sushi, flamed salmon roll, beef/short rib tacos, mini lamb burgers (love how the dress it with sauces). My least favorite was the chicken pops, I hated that they have bones, not as enjoyable in my opinion they should make without bone as an option. Also not a big fan of the fish tacos, and hated the chicken salad very cold and not fresh. The tomahawk is their famous steak and is large enough it chopped to share, it's pretty good. Definitely come here for appetizers and drinks, you won't regret it. read more

The service is not good at all, the waitress was so rude, we had to scream to get her attention and when she turned around she rolled her eyes and continued doing what she was doing!! We were a party of 10. Then when we asked for the manager, who continued to argue with my brother in law. The food was good, and for kosher food that's saying a lot. Best sushi hands down. This is my favorite restaurant. Service is top notch great vibe great drinks and a loaded menu.

Beautiful restaurant and great appetizers. Ordered the lamb chops per the servers high praise and recommendation and specified medium. They arrived rare with a slight exterior sear. Sent them back and the next batch arrived burnt. Bones and edges were charred. It looked like the original batch was simply placed under a broiler. I was offered a 3rd replacement and free dessert or send lamb back and have it removed off bill but no dessert. Was completely turned off by the proposal and was no longer interested in the lamb chops, dessert or a return visit. This is very unfortunate as I've heard nothing but amazing things about this place and the night was heading in the right direction but when I am dealt a proposal when in fact I (the customer) did nothing wrong left me with a bad taste and experience. This place is not cheap and one should not have to settle on service when paying these type of prices on a weeknight dinner. read more

Food was fine, but overpriced. The place was not updated since Amsterdam Burger was there, but the hamburger doubled in price. Tables were too close to each other and for this type of eatery, one would expect table cloths and finer surroundings. On this particular evening, there was a family next to us with very young children. The noise was exacerbated by the unnecessary music playing. Service was excellent and the waiter was accommodating. The fish was also very good. Soup was good, but small. I don't recommend the donuts, although they are presented very nicely, but hardly worth the price as they are just decent donuts. We had dinner the night before at a well known kosher steakhouse in Manhattan. Paid less and had a nicer décor. Because Doma's bar feels like it's not part of the establishment, it would not be inviting to first have a drink there while waiting for your reservation. Although the bar is nice. I used to be a huge fan of this restaurant and then covid hit. When I went back to dine there for the outdoor dining in the back the tables were so distanced, it was really hot outside and not enough fans were provided to cool everyone off. It took us an hour after ordering our appetizers for them to come to our table. The food is always great- that's thanks to the chef. The service has seriously sucked for the amount of $$ you can drop on one meal. Recently we placed an order while eating in the restaurant to take something to go and were told it wasn't an issue. When we finished our appetizers we asked where our packed bag was and they said they forgot & the kitchen closed so they cannot help us out or compensate for their mistake in anyway. Very unhappy. Couldn't get a seat so we ate at the bar. First off there was not one dish we ordered that was not a 10/10. I ordered the delmonica steak which was amazing. Cooked exactly how I asked. I ordered some appetizers as well as sushi (truffel sushi). Now I eat alot of sushi and this was definitely the best sushi ever. When you go to a nice restaurant, you dont expect to sit at the bar. Usually that would be a bad experience but not here. The atmosphere was still amazing. Definitely going back. 10/10. My suggestion would be to make a reservation a few days in advance. read more
