Our host used to be a sommelier in Paris and had extensive knowledge of wines and food pairings and great vintages.......he knew his stuff We purchased 2 cases of a mixture of everything we tried and let me tell you it could not have been easier. By shipping to the US, not only was shipping free of charge but we also got a 20% VAT price reduction. Surely made the decision easy to get that extra bottle or 12 since we didn't have to schlep it back in our luggage Arrived within the week via FedEx and the experience from start to finish was such a joy. We met the farmer at the office, and he and his wife were so nice and informative! He took us on a very informative tour. The tour was just the 3 of us in our group, so we took time to ask a lot of questions and learn a lot about the business. They make their wine "the old fashioned way" in many respects, so it was incredibly interesting to learn about their processes and their history. The wine cellar was really cool as well. We had an awesome time walking through and seeing their older bottles. All in all, we had a great experience here. We tasted a few wines and bought a few bottles. Everything we tasted was very good, and we are excited to try our bottles when we get home!

They had bottles on the tour dating back to the 80s. What I would give to have one of those bottles tonight! They had a tasting part to the tour and there was another group of Americans there as well. It was as if the two guys had been drinking a while and were tipsy and mocking us. Other than that bit of rudeness, it was great. I would have loved to have bought some wine but it was incredibly expensive to ship and the dollar to euro was just silly off balance. It would have been a fortune to send it home.
