I very rarely write bad reviews, but these guys were a big waste of money. My daughter does not have a car so I was really hoping this would work out but sadly it did not. The rear brake was not working and they could not figure out how to fix it and left her with a dangerous bike and still charged her. I later took the bike to a shop and they fixed it easily. They also could not figure out how to put on a bike rack and said it was impossible with the fender. The other bike shop put it on easily. I feel like these guys took advantage of my young daughter as she paid way too much for nothing. Very disappointed. Trying to our bikes (3 total) over to a repair shop seemed daunting without a way to transport them back and forth so i was super happy to find out about Zach's mobile repair shop! Zach was so easy to work with, gave honest feedback about the condition of one of the bikes (instead of trying to get more money out of me for unnecessary repairs) and left us with 3 bikes that feel so much better to ride and with brakes that work! It ended up snowing on our original appointment which Zach was still going to keep the appointment but was not able to ride the bikes afterwards so we rescheduled and that was only 2 days later. Worst service and customer service I have ever had in any industry!!!! Zach owner and operator is so unprofessional and does not back his work. Long details below Attention all Biking community please use caution if you choose to receive service from Domestique Mobile Bike Shop out of Broomfield. I know I will never use them again and I would like to share my horror story. To quote the Owner and operator from our text conversation less than 24 hours after getting my bike serviced. "Too much of a coward to even answer your phone" This message was because I would not communicate with him directly on the phone where the conversation was not recorded. He continued to the these following phrases toward me as the customer. "Answer your phone and talk like a man", "you're a piece of dirt", "F*ck You" , "Get F*cked", "F*ck off". I felt threatened by him and was started to feel harassed. To understand where this started. On Monday 8/16 I had my bike serviced by Domestique Mobile Bike Shop. Zach the owner and operator as published on his company website came to my home. I was unable to be there so my wife handed over my bike and the parts to be installed. Zach "performed" the service. (so he claims), gave the bike to my wife and left. Today Tuesday 8/17 I took the bike for a ride to try out the freshened up bike. As I rode the Front and rear gear were not shifting and when they did were shifting very hard. I returned home texted Zach , Thanked him for coming out the day before and advised of the issues I was having. This is when it started going sideways. Zach Response - "I don't know what to tell you. I rode the bike and it was perfect. I'll come back out but if the issues are from user error and not my work it's a $90 fee" (note his website states "We do not charge a minimum fee for us to come out" I asked when he could come out. Zach "Next week sometime" His next responses/Statements blew me away. I felt as if he was blaming me for the issue. Quotes From Zach - "Are you sure you're not cross chained?" "you do know how to properly shift, yes?" "I really have no idea and I'm dumb founded at how i ride the bike and it's perfectly fine and then this happens" I actually took a video showing I was not cross chained and demonstrated the shifting issues. He initially refused to come out this week stating he can only do next week - "I'm sorry that's the best I can do" After explaining I had a big ride this weekend coming up and that if he could not come out to complete the work I would have to take it to another shop and send the bill to him or if he preferred I would ride it as is and he could repair any damaged parts as a result. he responded with this quote "I'll come back out but you're being charged because that's not how I left the bike" He continued this same push back about not taking ownership and refusing to back up his work. Finally he sent this message " I'm going to return your money for the tune and that be that. Take care" (All I asked was for him to adjust the shifting that didn't work less than 24 hours from the time he serviced it) I asked for a full refund and he refused. At this point I really felt like there was something shady going on. So I advised him that I would take it to a reputable shop to be inspected and if damages were found I would reach back out. Zach then lost it. This is when the expletive's I already quoted came in. He tried to call me multiple time and would not leave a voice message. I had to end the conversation by telling him I felt threatened and that I felt that I was starting to be harassed read more

So nice to have a bike service who is professional, courteous, and punctual, and don't have to wait a week to get any work done. I emailed Zach through his site and less than 10 minutes later I had him scheduled to come to my house later that day. He serviced my precious yet small quiver of bikes: MTB, Road, and commuter. It wasn't major work, but he gave them all a nice run through and now, they're all running great! He serviced all three in about an 1.5 if I recall. However long it took, it was exponentially less time it would have taken me with so much better results. Zach's price was very reasonable and to me well worth it to have good running machines. I equate to an oil change. So overall, Zach is good to for me for tune ups. Quick reliable service, punctual, and easy! As mentioned, this was fairly minor work, but I would have confidence with anything major. You might want to ask about parts first since he's a one man shop in a van and dog. read more

I came across this mobile bike shop completely by accident, but I am so happy that I did! My son just went to a mountain biking camp today and after a long day on the muddy trails, his bike started making a clicking noise. Domestique happened to be in our neighborhood working on a bike for a friend so we swung by and told him about the noise. Zach hopped on my son's bike, rode around, figured out the problem, put it up on his stand and fixed it...all within a matter of 10 minutes or less. Problem solved! In the end, I was very disappointed with Domestique. Zach worked on 2 bikes, both of which had unresolved issues. He missed a bent derailleur hanger, which did not resolve until I brought it to a brick and mortar shop. I also have had an unresolved front derailleur issue on a gravel bike. Neither was caused by Zach, but neither one was fixed with his help, either. Though he did come back to re evaluate one issue (and again did not fix the problem), he ultimately became quite rude when the I asked to him to take a second look at the second issue. While I understand he may feel annoyed that I am being "high maintenance," after spending ~ $500 over three visits, I also would expect him to stand by his work. In this case, addressing a front derailleur issue which persisted despite cable replacement- even if he is frustrated. My local bike shop has no issues doing this, and I think it's fair to hold Zach to the same level of patience and competence. read more
