I've been going to this racetrack since the 1970s back when it used to be in Manassas. This is a great experience to take young kids for something family friendly on a Saturday night. This review is for the NASCAR oval racing. I can't speak for the road track or the drag strip. I've never been into those... One of the only drawbacks is that the oval track was built with the sun in your face exactly at the time the races start. During the summer this can be brutal - bring sunglasses, hats and sunblock. After the sun finally sets, it's much much better. The other ding is that the stands don't rise high enough. The view is obstructed in many places, especially in the lower rows. They should have either forgone the indoor lounge that sits atop the stadium, or built the grandstands up another 20 rows or so.

The most outrageously unorganized and chaotic place I have ever been. I would not come back here if…read moremy life depended on it. There is ZERO parking and ZERO phone service in the entire vicinity so unless you enjoy being lost, and walking for miles unplanned then I would not come here. The only reason there was even two stars is because of the concert itself was good but that's subjective compared to the venue.

I wish I could add negative stars! Scott Stadium is HORRIBLE in almost every way. To start, parking…read morein Charlottesville for events is disgusting. Don't build a stadium that can hold such a large capacity if you aren't able to support the amount of people in the nearby town. If there aren't enough parking garages or options, maybe that should be known before hosting an event of such capacity (Luke Combs in 2026). All of the lots sold out ahead of time and the prices were astronomical. It was so pitiful and sad to see elderly people, disabled people, intoxicated girls, families, etc. all walking over an hour + away to their car that they also had to pay $80+ for in order to park...digusting! Everyone was already tired and feet hurt from the show, so to have to park that far away, have no police helping with traffic so then have to walk more than an hour to just sit in traffic and have no support from the town to make it more efficient. Next...the fact that most lots advertised as having a 'shuttle' but then only actually having 2 buses for probably 60k people is madness. They should have used all campus and town buses, hired additional help from third party services, etc. If you are charging that much money and then selling it as 'oh well it comes with a shuttle' but only if you are on one of the 2 buses that goes out instantly, because if not the buses aren't looping back around and you will end up being stuck on the side of the road for 2 hours as you desperately hope there will be another one soon and maybe it is just stuck in traffic....Horrible planning, Charlottesville! On top of that, the shuttles ended before midnight, so everyone that was still in line was waiting and waiting for a bus that was never going to come, without any warning. The bus actually may have stopped at 11 which if the concert ended at 10:45 and everyone cleared out by 11, that doesn't even give enough time for anyone to use it..Then, I asked probably 30 different RMC staff members in different parking lots to help direct me to one and not a single one knew how I could find it or could tell me any information. They were all uneducated on what was going on and had not been informed on anything. As I got to the stadium, I asked multiple RMC and venue staff members for direction on the Box Office, box office hours, etc. and not a single person could direct me to it either or help in anyway. Nobody knew what was going on, where things were, or what was happening that day. It seemed like there was no use in employing all of these people if nobody knew what was going on. NEXT let me tell you about the worst planning of it all. I was fortunate enough to thankfully have the opportunity to have gotten pit tickets as well as tickets along the lower bowl. Even though I was inches away from the staircase to the floor/pit, I walked down without anyone saying anything to me since I had a bracelet to allow me to go back and forth. I walked down, and then when trying to come back to my seat they wouldn't let me. They said the only way to get up there was to walk alllllll the way around the ENTIRE stadium. To do that, it takes 45 minutes. I know because I had to do that when I entered and even though I was practically running, it took that long to get through the crowd and I ended up missing an entire opening act! To tell me to go ALL the way around the stadium when I had a front row chair next to the staircase on the aisle is outrageous! The most stupid thing I have ever heard! The point of having this is so I could dance with my mom on the floor without blocking peoples view specifically because I jump around, and then when we wanted to sit for openers and for slow parts, etc. we'd have the ability to do so. I know that is rare so I am very fortunuate to have gotten those tickets, but to not have a backup plan or make an exception for that situation and just assume everyone who has floor tickets only have floor tickets and the staircases on the sides are off limits to everyone......is stupid for the people who actually have a use for them and spent all that money to be there!!! We didn't even end up being able to use the floor tickets because it isn't like we were about to walk the entire perimiter of the venue when we wanted to go back to our seat, we'd miss the whole show!! It would be pointless! Then on top of that, the point of having seats is to take a break and sit down when needed, so by making you walk a massive staircase and then go all the way around the whole venue, cut across multiple sold out sections, go down the entire staircase of that section, all to your front row chair that was 4 feet away from where you were standing is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. UVA likes to pride themselves on being smart but this was the worst event planning and logistics I have ever seen. Take notes, UVA and Charlottesville! Do better!! About everything honestly, it all needs work!!!!

My social league team made the bocce finals last month and they were held in City Stadium…read more It was my first visit; otherwise I had only driven by or seen it in the distance. Also I'm not a soccer fan so the chances of my future attendance at a Kickers game are slim to none. I do know some larger-scale events are held here, though. The stadium could definitely use a touch of paint. It's clearly been around for a while. But the field was nice and made for good bocce ball throwing. The stands were fine too. I didn't use the restrooms or buy any concessions. I'd return in the future if a festival or event sounds fun.

Tons of food options and vendors which is great. The stadium overall is run down, but it's a part of the Richmond experience to me, so no big deal there. Cons: The speaker system is TERRIBLE and needs replacing... it's very loud and muffled, almost like I'm watching an episode of Charlie Brown. This was the most annoying part of the game. Tickets a $12 a piece, for anyone over the age of 3. This seems like a bit much to me - GA tickets at the Squirrels stadium are $7 a piece, I feel like it should be more comparable there. Also, I think kids under 10 shouldn't be $12 either, maybe more like $8 or just less. I can't imagine paying more per ticket than what we paid for this game. Overall it was a good game although Kickers lost 1-0. I would come back, even though I'm not a diehard soccer fan!
