This is a cozy French restaurant with incredibly kind service and food that hugs you. It's very warm and inviting when you walk in, and the staff are very gracious and welcoming. We started with the most delicious escargot followed by incredible French onion soup. For the entrée we ordered beef bourguignon and grilled chicken, both of which were out of this world. I have never been served such a large portion of roast chicken. It was so delicious and flavorful, and I wound up taking 2/3 of it home because I couldn't finish it all. I came here years ago when my family lived in the area, but haven't been back since last week! Service is amazing, they are friendly, attentive, and accommodating since I had my baby with me. But the food is top tier! Flavors are fantastic and portions are unbelievable for a French restaurant. I hope they never change because that is extremely difficult to find these days. PAN SEARED SOLE FILLET: I got this exact dish over 6 years ago and it's might even be better than before. The sole is so flaky and cooked perfectly. The spinach and wild rice accompany the fish well and the lemony butter sauce is chefs kiss! No complaints 5/5 ESCARGOT: The bread chunks provided are nicely toasted so that you can dip it in the herby butter coating the escargot. Escargot is also well prepared and wasn't chewy at all. Highly suggest making reservations because they do fill up and also just a note that their private parking lot has less than 10 spaces. read more

It's like eating at a restaurant in Lyon, France. I come here anytime it's possible, everything about this place it's a pleasure. This time we switch from the escargot to a tasteful pate the kind you can eat in a farm in the French provinces. After that we had a gigantic salad in blue cheese cream and as the main dish a delicious adventure of pork!!! Of course a bottle of Cabernet and the dessert was as awesome as being a kid with a well known ice cream... as always our young server tried her best all the time with conversation and smiles. We left the last because when you feel at home you don't want to go. We love the venue, small but with a big heart... and the price always great but Thursday night better. We have come here for years to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. It is an absolutely lovely French restaurant that feels upscale, yet cozy with tables spaced just close enough for a lively atmosphere but spaced enough that you feel you have your own space and privacy. The service is so very friendly and quick. It is family owned and feels just that way, but has been around long enough to be a local gem that many come back to over and over. The food is scrumptious! One of our favorites are the French onion soup with a very hearty beef base, caramelized onions, and a great cheese crust. The bread is also so fresh and fantastic. Another is the bistro steak. The butter melts over the top and blends with the seasonings well; and the meat is perfectly cooked. Worth every penny and calorie. Brutal experience. Be warned: No cocktails. Wine or beer only. Server had a major attitude. One must put in ALL of their food requests at once. Never heard of such a thing. Was too intimidated to let her know the wine was clearly off. I had more because I was too afraid to complain about both the food and the wine .. and had to get through the entire evening which was important to us all. Woke up feeling like death. The seafood risotto was inedible. My husband was starving so managed to eat more but was terribly ill today. The risotto was plated like someone vomited on a plate. Note the picture. Friends in South Bay discovered this gem during Covid through Dominiques takeout menu. They have been raving about the Beouf Bourguignon and I finally made it in house! It's a cozy atmosphered neighborhood spot. Decent non-exorbitant wine selection and large portioned dishes! It was perfect for a dinner with friends who like to eat family style and share. And we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. I enjoyed the escargot and the sardine spread. Snagged the last lobster & crab agnolotti and with gracious friends had bites of the sole and beouf bourginon which were good. It felt like having amazing food at your French grandma/aunties/parents' house. French fine dining for me has plateaued so having this type of French family kitchen and French bistro cuisine was amazing. Good quality ingredients, refined basics through experience and just hearty cooking. The service was friendly and nice. I think they had one server for the whole place (its small and cozy) but can be overbearing. It's just that type of vibe where you just go with it. It is was a fine dining pre fixed paring type of place, may have been annoyed. But we just enjoyed the hearty warm atmosphere and the bottles of Sancerre Rouge helped us in a gracious and laughing mood. read more

A really quaint and delicious French restaurant in Redondo Beach. I stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was really impressed with my dinner. The food quality was great and the menu had a ton of great options on it. They do have a small parking lot attached otherwise it will be street parking. Our waiter was also very polite and it was very lively during our 7 PM dinner visit. The portion sizes are very large here so factor that in to your choices. I would classify this more as a French bistro in that it is casual and has a lot of great French comfort food options. We started off with a Country Pâté and thought it was great. It was very smooth and the bread with it really added to the flavor combination. Next, we shared the Beet Salad, which was gigantic, but had some really nice flavors. It was full of beets and feta so I wasn't complaining, but it could be split between four people it's that large. Finally for my entree I chose the Pan Seared Sole and thought it was fantastic. The butter sauce on top was extremely sweet but in a good way. I also liked the black rice on the side to soak up the sauce and I ate every bit of it. We wanted to order dessert but by the end of the meal we were both pretty full. I would recommend to anyone in the area or to anyone searching for a great French dinner option. read more

Came here for my company holiday dinner and the food was very good! Reminded me of my trip to Paris a few months back! This place gave fancy French cuisine vibes but at the same time very homey, cozy, and holiday spirited. Dim lighting too. First we had cocktail hour and started off with drinks I ordered sangria (fruity red wine) this was yummy! There were liver paste with jam on cracker (my favorite) cheese fondue and other appetizers. The waiters and waitresses gave such wonderful service always looking out for the guests. I liked the slower paced schedule of the food coming out, because there was a lot of food but there was enough time in between to digest down the food before the next. On the cheese platter the danish blue cheese soo good with nuts and dried fruit! The lobster bisque and beef bourguignon with creamy potatoes chefs kiss, and they were very artistically presented, in awe of French cuisine. What an amazing meal my husband and I had tonight. We both chose two specials that they offered and while we expected outstanding service, we received that andso much more! The presentation alone deserves five stars, but the food was some of the best we've ever had in our lives. As usual, the service was outstanding. Local gem! My husband and I have lived in RB for 14 years and we always wanted to try this place but never did. We finally went for a date night (need to make reservations in advance). The food is very authentically French and delicious. Everything is reasonably priced as well for how much food they serve. The escargot was probably was our favorite, wonderfully garlicky and they're big escargots too! They don't skimp on the liver pate, there's a lot of pate on that piece of bread! Could have used little less dressing on the wedge salad but was still delicious. There's a small parking lot on the side of the restaurant so we didn't have any issues but there's also plenty of street parking as well. I went to Dominique's Kitchen to celebrate my birthday with my family recently and the ambiance and service was warm and inviting. This is a neighborhood French Bistro with outstanding and affordable food. Everyone got something different and every meal was stellar. Before our main dishes, we shared 3 salads and several fresh baguettes. My sons ate 2 loaves by themselves! Both salads were standouts. We brought some nice wines and the corkage fee was only $20 a bottle. We ended our dinner with three desserts. I would highly recommend Dominique's Kitchen. Dominique's Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the South Bay. The food brings me back to traveling in Paris. Steak frites--amazing. The peppercorn sauce is truly something else. Extensive wine menu, beef bourguignon, escargots flown in from Burgundy. It doesn't get any more authentic than this. The pricing is also sooo reasonable. The only downside is that there isn't really a parking lot (probably only 5 car spots) but you can park on the side streets and walk down as it's right on PCH. read more

This place has been on my radar for quite some time. It's a small neighborhood restaurant serving up homestyle authentic French country cooking. Driving past it, it might just look like a little house with a small parking lot. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff who ushered into cozy living room-like dining room. The environs really set stage for what felt like a French country homestyle meal. We may have over-ordered as the all the portions were huge! (apps and entrees alike). We had a lot of leftovers between two people. Each of the dishes were all so rich in flavors and textures and oh-so-filling. We were stuffed. Keep in mind, the lot is VERY small with maybe only a handful of spots and it's a little tricker as the drive is a narrow one-way only, so exiting requires you to back out into the street. read more

Great little french restaurant deep in the south Redondo nook. The restaurant is cozy, with a limited number of tables but the service is warm and friendly and top-notch. The food is great and the portions are large. If you have any interst in french Onion soup, this is the place to get it, it's among the best I've ever had. I was hoping to try the short ribs, but they seem to have fallen off the menu. Still the Beef Bourginion was an excellent substitute, the beef chunks could be cut with a fork they were so tender. The trout special was very good and the roast chicken dish was huge! We had so much food we didn't have room for dessert, but they looked very good. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is nice. The place was busy, not hectic, but by all means get a reservation. They also have a separate room for large parties. Overall, one of the best frech restaurants I've been to outside of France, I heartily recommend this gem! read more

They do have their own parking lot as well yet I grabbed a spot on the street. Excellent service as well as food and drink suggestions from Casey tonight. She's bubbly, friendly and professional. She knows her menu, her ingredients and her pairings; which is the best combination for my needs! I ordered the beef bourguignon, which is famous in America, thanks to Julia Child. They call it Euro-French food and I have no idea what that means. I think of it as French Food and it is some of the best in Redondo Beach. The place itself is not huge so make a reservation, it can get crowded. The chef is also the owner so you know he cares about what he serves. Dominique's is clean and the bathrooms are nice. It is so cute. It has a lovely black and white exterior. They have a nice wine list. There is not one thing you won't like there. The service is great. They take good care of you and will deal with special orders. I loved our server. Their baked imported brie cheese with arugula, pecans, cranberries and champagne vinaigrette is just great. It is a wonderful starter to share. Also great is their spicy lamb sausage with organic quinoa, mint, raisins, almond, lemon, and honey. It is cooked perfectly and is also a starter, but share it or you will get full. The pan seared sole with sautéed spinach, onion and garlic, lemon and butter is melt in your mouth delicious. We also love their grilled prime angus ribeye with green peppercorns, and the best fingerling potatoes. There is nothing not to like here. read more

Stopped by Dominique's Kitchen in Redondo beach and the food absolutely delivered!! The escargot was garlicky and rich, the beef bourguignon came out perfectly tender and the desserts hit just right. The service was warm and relaxed, our server made recommendations and checked in on us without hovering.
