This is a historic property because it was one of the first to be rebuilt after the second world war bombing. (Seeing images of the same spot devastated by allied bombing immediately after the world war is chilling...) Don't miss the artefacts displayed from the historic port of Bremen in the lobby, since this is a port city. The view of the main train station and the plaza from the rooms is great. Around the hotel are a number of quick diners and shops for cell phones, snacks, and cafes. You can get some Turkish kebab here. The tram lines run directly in front of the hotel door. The rooms are quiet, modern, spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms are also spacious and modern with the lovely towel warmers! Excellent value. Friendly staff at the front desk. The WiFi was fast, secure, and excellent speed all over the hotel. If you are driving check with reception because you can get parking for an additional 11 Euros a night. The parking entrance is around the corner and you will have to drive into an auto-lift to be taken up to the parking level for your assigned spot. The front of the hotel is only accessible via a temporary access lane shared with pedestrians. You can enter the parking garage by a backdoor in their alleyway using an entry access code that reception will give you.

It had everything you needed including a safe. It was close to the Town Center and right across the street from the train station and electric cars to get around. The breakfast buffet was so nice. Everything the heart desires for breakfast and more. Such a variety and fresh. The staff in the breakfast bar was very friendly and accommodating. My room was made ready early since I arrived from the USA very early in the morning. It was a pleasant experience. Free WIFI and fast too.

Overall, a&o Hotel/Hostels are recommendable when you're on a short visit to Bremen. It's cost…read moreeffective and has the basic necessities for an overnight stay. If you'd like to be in touch with them, they're interactive with WhatsApp - +49 30 809475162 Great points to consider during our stay in A&O Bremen Hotels : 1. 15-minute walk from the main train station. It's not near as it seems, but you may take a tram right outside the Hauptbahnhof. 2. Take Tram 10 to Gröpelingen then after 2 stops, go down to Daniel-von-Büren-Straße 3. Remember that stop Daniel-von-Büren-Straße (Strasse) is your hotel main stop, whether you take the tram or bus. 4. The hotel is a 2-Minute walking distance to the tram and bus station, which will take you to the Altstadt (old town)- basically almost near the best places around Bremen. Take the bus 25. There's a day ticket, which you can by from the bus driver which had cost us EUR 15 for 4 adults, and is valid for the whole day. 5. Fresh and clean hotel entrance. The lobby has a projected screen, showing the World Cup. There are vending machines for snacks and drinks. Ice cream is for EUR1 6. There are activities for adults (board games) and toys for kids. 7. The lobby though small is functional. They have power outlets, USB ports, tables, comfy chairs and clean toilets too! 8. Accommodating Receptionists, Tara and Taha. 9. Upon checking-in they'll give you a map of Bremen in which all the important tourist spots to check out are highlighted. 10. You have to pay the Bremen tourism tax of AED 2.14 per person per night. 11. Their bunk bed has USB ports and individual LED lamp. How cool is that? 12. Comfy bed and pillows. 13. TV has English speaking Channels. (BBC) 14. Organized bathroom with ample amenities such as shampoo, bath gel and towels. 15. Stable WiFi signal in the room. 16. Quiet room 17. They have one elevator. Works for us! 18. Each of us were given a room key. 19. They accommodated all of us, 4 adults in a room. We have a twin bedroom and a bunk bed. Practical for a small group, a family/friends. 20. Upon checking-out, you can store your luggages in their lockers. EUR 4 for 3 hours, EUR 6 for 6 hours and EUR 8 for 24 hours. Challenges that we have faced: 1. Hotel or hostel, make up your mind because your branding is confusing. 2. No grocery store around. Buy all your necessities in Hauptbahnhof before checking-in. 3. No restaurants around the area. You have to go back to the train station or proceed to Altstadt. 4. Hotel or hostel, make up your mind because your branding is confusing. 5. No grocery store around. Buy all your necessities in Hauptbahnhof before helping-in. 6. No restaurants around the area. You have to go back to the train station or proceed to Altstadt. 7. There's no air conditioning system nor fan in the room. It's summer so we needed air. You have to leave the windows open. It gets cold at night, so don't worry. It's quiet too so we were able to sleep soundly at night. 8. Upon checking-in, even when we paid for 4 adults, only the twin bed has been properly set-up. The bunk beds were dumped with the linens, and we had to set it up ourselves. The way it was dump was as if it was used. (I'm attaching photos, so you can judge if they have improved this. The management promised to do so. Let's see) 9. The water pressure in the shower was weak. 10. The wash basin is just beside the bed. Design fault so no biggie. 11. No fridge. No complimentary bottled water.

It is priced really well, and the feel of the art deco hotel is inviting to me. The staff is young and very friendly and seemed ready to address any issue you have (I didn't have any). The rooms are small, but workable. Perfect for an overnight business traveler (me), or a tourist that plans to not live in the room. It is a clean and attractive place to sleep. The lobby is spacious with a bar, lounge (again art deco) thing going on. The hotel serves drinks in the afternoon until 2 or 3 am... and then has a breakfast buffet in the mornings, of course neither is included in the room price. I hate breakfast, so I was just glad I could get a couple of beers at midnight when I made it back to the hotel post business dinner. If you are headed to Bremen and are looking for a nice, but not that expensive place to stay, I would recommend Prizeotel... Cheers, D P.S. the give out free gummie bears at the desk.

Prizeotel (Prize by Radisson) is a hotel near the Bremen HbF DB station. It is situated on a calm…read morestreet just south of a very large parking lot, and it is 3 or 4 buildings from the station. I stayed at this hotel for a week for a conference. 1. The first two days I stayed here, the AC in the entire building was out. When I checked-in, the staff didn't mention this until I went down to the front desk to state that the AC wasn't working; they told me it had failed the day before. Luckily, I figured a solution to cool the room: at night, I could open the large window. However, doing so I was only able to cool the room from 33C to 25C. Note that the windows have two ways to open. One way, they can open by swinging sideways open. The other, they can open from the top. 2. The room is cramped. Most space is taken up by the bed. The wooden bed frame creaks. I'll hear my neighbor's creaking bed, and I'm sure they'll hear mine. 3. Acoustically, if you're on the side of the building facing the tracks, train noise is negligent, unless they toot their horn. Even so, as long as the window is closed and sealed, the noise will be quiet. However, if the window is open, you'll get the full experience. Nominally, this means as long as your window is sealed closed, you should have a quiet sleep. 4. The audio setup of the hotel is great! There was a concert on Friday that was held in the plaza across the parking lot. If you're on the train track facing side, the concert will reflect off the buildings; if you open the window, you'll have a reasonable experience. However, it's much better if you face the parking lot or if you go to the window at the end of the hallway and slightly prop it open there. Great view too. 5. The hotel policy is to clean your room every 3 days. If you out the "sleeping" placard or "do not disturb" placard out front, they won't clean your room. 6. Also, the deadlocks are ineffective. I was sleeping and the cleaning staff entered my room, realized I was sleeping and left. 7. Yes, the sewer smell is real. It's helpful to flush the toilet, and run the sink a little bit to create a water barrier. 8. Tap water is clean and drinkable. There are two paper cups in your room. 9. If it rains, the hotel puts out rentable umbrellas near the front entrance. 10. An Aldi is located near the train station. Unfortunately the hotel room contains no refrigerator, so you won't be able to purchase any perishables. 11. You must insert your keycard into the switch on the wall in order to power anything in your room. This means you cannot leave without your keycard unless you have a duplicate. 12. Wi-Fi in the hotel is weakly distributed. This hotel did not quite meet my needs for a comfortable stay, so I was glad to leave after the week was over.
