You can buy coffee to drink in the cafe or a to go cup. They specialize in hot drinks. My American self wanted an iced latte and it was just ice in a latte. It was obvious that I was traveling (I had my bags with me) but most of the staff was very gracious when I asked questions about what to order or how to pronounce things, which was very kind. My server went out of her way to check in and to make recommendations. The atmosphere itself is relaxing, cozy, and comfortable, but at the same time so alive with colors and art and interesting things to explore while you eat. There's seating indoors and a spacious sidewalk patio seating area. I ordered a cappuccino to drink and the Power Frühstrück to eat, which ended up being an amazing spread. It included a light omelet, a basket of fresh bread, jam, fruit, cheese, cream cheese, olives and an orange juice. It was plenty of food for a solid meal and was less than 15 euros. I also enjoyed the little touches (even if I couldn't read them!) on the menu about the business and the note from the owner. It all seemed very thoughtfully done. I would love to come back and explore more of the menu and spend a little bit more time enjoying myself in the space!

It is more spacious than one would expect from the outside with about 8 toal tables. Good amount of space and separation between each table. Definitely less crammed than Bruhmarkt in Bockenheim which my normal go-to spot. I ordered the Ethiopian coffee (4,10 euro). It is on the expensive side (similar coffee is 3,90 euro as t Burhmarkt), but quality is very good. Free wifi, comfortable atmosphere and good coffee make this a place to spend more than a few hours relaxing.

I haven't found a better espresso or latte than here, and if you have achey cakey pangs, they have a nice selection of muffins and cookies etc. There's even free water in a jug on the counter. It's self-service, so no waiting around to order and then pay, and you can get a card to collect stamps and get a free coffee, you can then collect the cards to get a kg of Hochland coffee. You'll find it up the side street, by Karstadt, in the pedestrian zone. You can read a magazine or today's newspaper, there are chairs and tables outside and in winter there are blankets for your knees and patio heaters, to keep the top of your head warm. It's all very civilized.
