Makes me sad, I wanted to patron a local company over a chain but this place is a rip off and very…read moreunfriendly. Story in short, Charged me $400, gave me bifocals I didn't need, made getting it straightened out a pain, had to visit 4 times for fitting and or replacement. Read below for more thorough explanation. They will spend an hour doing tests you probably don't need on your eyes but don't tell you it won't be covered by your insurance. I walked out with a $400 payment, $180 of which was for the testing they don't tell you you can refuse. They took 3 weeks to get me my glasses after I called twice. the frames had a dent in them and the woman spent no time fitting them. She mentioned showing me how the bifocals work. I was not supposed to get bifocals with my order but she came back and said she was incorrect and they weren't bifocals. After a day the glasses were digging so hard into my head and I had a headache and had to return for a refitting. The optometrist did say she would get me new frames for the dent. A week later I received a bill in the mail charging me an additional $38 without explanation of the charge. I was also having terrible headaches and realized they were bifocals and called to speak to them. they said the optometrist would return my call. Three days later I called back and the optometrist said, oh we ordered your new lenses already and the additional fee would be removed as it was for bifocals I did not need. At this point I also didn't like the frames and was hoping they would have some sort of return policy...she said if she knew before she had ordered the new lenses they could have done something. Glad someone took the time to call me back and tell me what was going on.... Upon my fourth visit to get things straitened out they still had a note on my case that I owed $38. She said that would be straightened out but I wouldn't be surprised to see another bill in the mail. I've been wearing glasses for almost 30 years and this is the first time I can honestly say I've had a bad experience getting new glasses.

I miss Dr. Ciccone's expertise and professionalism…read more The quality of his work is truly unmatched when it comes to selecting proper lenses and having the staff pick out the best frames for me.

This office is a scam!! I was told at reception that I had to pay $100.00 out-of- pocket for…read more'meds' that were only available at their office before I saw the doctor. It was my initial visit to Dr. Tucker and I said that I would prefer to have an eye exam first before paying for meds. The receptionist told me that this was not possible as Dr. Tucker places all his initial patients on the same dry eye meds. I asked to speak to the Dr. about it before my appointment and she affirmed that this also was not possible and that I could cancel my appointment instead! This puts the patient in an extremely uncomfortable position, not to mention that it is blatantly unethical. I had driven over a half hour to get there and was told to either pay up or leave. So to see Dr. Tucker, I had to lay $100 for unknown 'meds'. I decided to pay and bring the subject up to Dr. Tucker himself. I told his assistant, who came in first, that I would like to discuss it with the doctor and then when Dr. Tucker came in, he did not mention it at all and when I brought it up, he completely sidelined me. The meds turned out to be eye drops, eye ointment and an eye mask, all which can be found over-the-counter elsewhere and all of which I had aleady used. There was additionally a dietary supplement which can be purchased online. When I complained to them via their patient portal about this unethical billing practice, hoping to resolve the issue internally, I received no reply. After 12 days, I called their office and was told that someone would call me back. No one did. I called again and was routed to the manager's voicemail where I left a message requesting a phone call. I did not receive one. Instead I received a nasty message via the portal, denying anything wrong had occurred, that I had been given the option of NOT taking the meds, that I was given the option of getting a 'refund' for the meds if I didn't 'like' them and assuring me again, that the meds were only available from their office. It was so blatantly untrue as to be laughable. I then received a letter in the mail from Dr. Tucker himself, claiming that he had spoken with his entire staff and that they all had assured him that they had all given me the above options of not paying the $100, getting a refund etc. He even claimed to have discussed this with me himself! I was absolutely astonished as it was utter lies not to mention simply absurd and he continued this odd missive by firing me as a patient. I then discovered that he had billed my insurance company for 'expression of meibomian glands' and 'removal of conjunctival foreign bodies', neither of which occurred! It is an absolute disgrace when a medical professional who calls himself 'The Dry Eye Guy' behaves in such a flagrantly unprofessional and unethical way when people with dry eye disease, a chronic, debilitating and extremely frustrating condition, seek his help. It is nothing less than disgusting.
