The first time I stopped in Donegal Square was 3 years ago, when I went to the Celtic Classic for the first time. This store is located on the corner of West Walnut Street and Main Street, near where we are the parade. Being part Irish, it was nice to see a store filled with different products and items from Ireland! I know my mom appreciated the store as she found a certain tea she loved, and we have been back here in the years since (minus 2018 when we didn't go and this year when we didn't get the time). Wonderful products, but ridiculous prices. It's a place I go to window shop, and then find similar products online. Terrific selection, though, if you have the money to spend. They have clothes imported and hand knit in Ireland and Scotland, trinkets, books, take home imported snack foods, and a cute little tea room in the back. Lovely place. read more

Brought my sister here (12-1-18) after showing her the rest of Main St. It was her birthday and her 1st time in Bethlehem. We wanted a quick drink and just happened upon this place. I have to say I was really pleased with the decor, food, drinks, our bartender Tina, and our fellow patrons. The guests were extremely friendly as well as the staff. I'm VERY picky about ordering my "usual" (an old-fashioned) when in an unfamiliar place, because if I don't know you or your place, I'm not going to trust that the bartender will make it correctly. Sorry, guess I'm in Manhattan too much, BUT I must say Tina killed it and we were all pleasantly surprised and happy we stopped in for a great time. Will definitely be back read more

Great celtic store in downtown Bethlehem. Their little tea room in the back is fantastic and reminds me of visiting my family in Wales. They have a great selection of british candies, teas and condiments. I love that I can buy HP sauce here! Lots of good gifty items for the lads and lassies on your shopping list. Love their large jewelry display and racks of woolly sweaters, hats and scarves. For the football lover - tons of jerseys from all the great (and a few obscure) clubs. read more

Five stars! This place has everything you need from Glengarry to Ghillie Brogues! Long story short, I was competing in the Celtic Classic and forgot my Ghillies and hose (socks) at home, along with my flashers. I searched every booth and shop at the Classic and no one could help me with shoes. In complete desperation I yelped nearby businesses and looked for a store to buy the equipment I needed, and luckily I found Donegal Square! Not only do they have all uniform equipment to buy, they also have them to rent! I was blown away at the sheer luck of finding a store to help me, and a 10 minute WALK from the competition. I called them ( at 9:00am on a Sunday no less!) and they had what I needed ready for me when I got there. The women behind the counter could not have been more nicer and very accommodating as I quickly took care of the rental and made my way to practice for the days events. My deadline for getting the shoes back was 7:00 (!) again on a Sunday, which was no problem with the competition over by 5:30, 6:00, but after wearing these amazing shoes all day , I wanted to buy them! They were polished to a military shine when I got them, and they are a thicker leather then the ones I bought in Scotland! They also had rubber soles with thick laces for years of wear ahead of them. So after massed bands, I called and they were happy to sell me the shoes over the phone while deducting the cost of the rental from the final cost! Just a great experience all around with people who know how to help customers in need. I plan on going back to this store every year I am at the Celtic Classic, and I recommend you go there too. This is one fine shop and deserves to flourish. read more

A completely wonderful irish shop! They have beautiful sweaters, hats, and jewelery. There are even kilts and parts for bagpipes. Everything you would want in an irish store and things that you wouldn't even think of. This includes door knockers, flasks, and music. The clothes are very authentic looking and the prices reflect that. I'm looking forward to going back. read more

I have always had good service and a good experience at Donegal Square. The Tea Room is a nice place for lunch or Sunday breakfast and I have been there for special dinners and events. The store carries great items and if it is a little pricey - most imported goods are. You can find Waterford Crystal, Beleek (sp) China, woolen sweaters, hats and shawls from Ireland. This is the place to go if you are Irish or you want to buy something for an Irish friend. read more

The owners are great people. But the young women who work in the store are not nice. I heard the girl say their bar would never have a "TV" because they don't want "hoodlums" coming in. The renovations have tables that you will feel like you are in prison having your lunch. It is so unattractive and you feel claustrophobic. You can not plan an event without emailing the event planner- who is also the main cook. So if you don't have a computer you are screwed. The workers boast of their "new webpage" that says they are open from 11-5 on Sundays-yet the worker argued they are open until 11. But the page clearly says 11-5. The website says "events" and when clicked on it's about renting kilts. This has been a good place- but the help needs some guidance in customer service and how to be kind to customers. And they need to go over the webpage that is very hard to understand. And they need a person who is available to speak with someone about planning and not forcing them to wait until the cook is done. They must not want the business. read more
