Very good sunday lunch: portions, taste, variety, quality. Service was pleasant if a touch slow. Would recommend the food every time.

Have been here a few times, staff plesent and helpful food usually tastey and reasonable priced. However they had a bIG OFF day this Sunday, the prices gone up some ( maybe to pay for the refirb ?) but the food we eventuly got was not at all worth the £££ ! a definate expensive disapointment have to look some where else now ! shame read more

Nice pub in a good village location. Lots of parking and lovely beer garden. Has been renovated in recent years and the dining area is very nice. Had an early dinner in here - the liver and bacon with mashed potato was delicious. Tomato soup starter is a large serving (I had it as a main course) - only improvement could be to serve soul with a thick slice of wholewheat bread or slice of baguette, the sliced white bread toast was a bit chewy. The kids portions were large (I would eat less than that) but very good. My kids had fish and chips and burger and chips. Lovely side salad with them. The empty plates and happy faces suggest a big thumbs up for the kids food! I would go again and I would recommend to friends. read more

we recently discovered that the pub has been reopened completely under new management with the original owner being a part of the pub with his sister in-law running it. when we first went in we found that it has been put back to how it was with a nice new fire place and the menu on the boards, with EXCELLENT home made food! The young gentleman behind the bar was lovely and then we met the new landlady who was lovely to talk to and they were both so welcoming.
