After leaving a negative review, they decided to contact me again. They said they were going to help me this time and order some samples for us to see. When we went to the store and decided on the samples we might have wanted, they said they would send out a salesman. Five minutes before he was supposed to be there, they called and said he was sick, which I could understand him not making the appointment. But you would have thought they would have scheduled another person to come see us or make another appointment. I don't know how their window department is, but their siding department is terrible.

He shows us what the black door will look like and then shows us what the black windows would look like and prints it out. Mistake #2 we never bothered to double check the contract. Fast forward to install day (almost 3 months later) I'm in another room to stay out of their way and just went to take a peek. Whatt? The door is black and the XL windows are white. (We dont have a white window in the entire house) We stop Installation and I call the salesman. No answer, text him, no answer 7 times and not 1 response. I talk to the Instalation crew and they said, "yeah it does say black on our paperwork because we even have the black flashing" They kindly call "their boss" and I talk to him to see what's going on. He tells me the contract says white windows. I looked and sure enough it does! The salesman typed white in there. I'm then informed there was no way I would have gotten black for the price we did. (I'm not one to throw out prices but were talking alot of $$. (Don't quote me here because I know they will respond throwing times and dates back at me trying to justify their mistakes and make me look bad) but a few days later we got a call saying they can get black windows but they won't be the same quality but still good windows. We discussed it and agreed as long as they were good. Jump ahead to aprox 1.5 more months and the 2nd set of windows were installed. Let's talk about these so called "good windows" every time we closed the door the grids rattled. (It wont let me post the video) back on the phone we got!! At this point we should have just got our attorney involved! We talked it over ONCE AGAIN and we're told a 3rd set can be made with bumpers so it won't do that, ' They must have forgotten the bumpers". At this point what choice do we have? A while later we get our 3rd set. From purchase date to 3rd set of install it was a total of 140 days. The same damn window with 2 " bumpers" (something you put on cabinets so they don't slam) Purchase windows from someone else!!

So many "storm chaser" roofers came into our neighborhood and spent a lot of time here through next year advertising door to door, but Durst came with the highest recommendations from home owners that had done work with them prior to the storm. I have nothing but the best things to say about Dustin and his team. They were prompt, worked fast and did quality work. Even a few years later, they still come out to the edges of their service area for service calls after severe winter weather. I've yet to see any of those "storm chaser" companies back in our neighborhood to service their previous customers since roofs were installed. I'll always recommend Durst to anyone that asks, they're the best.

LOOK AGAIN! 2500. DEDUCTIBLE!! Talk about wanting to cry!!! We talked to SO MANY PPL that would be over to give us an estimate, no one showed. So frustrating! We have dealt with contractors in the past, but we will NEVER choose another company until we call Owens! HE dealt with the insurance co!! He did!! We thought we were going to have to hire a public something to get the tree and roof taken down, they took care of all the leg work. They were here and done AND CLEANED UP in one afternoon and even went above and beyond by putting a much needed vent in the roof!! ( we have a feral cat that we care for and she lives in the garage all winter... it gets a little stinky in there). We had to put a new roof on our house this summer and I wish we had known about them earlier! But they matched the garage perfectly! In fact the garage looks nicer than the bazillion dollar one we purchased! To be honest, I wish I knew about them a few years ago!!! I wonder if they repair porches and decks... When we got to the appointment we met with a woman who felt the need to list off all of her credentials. I informed her that we were at the end of our budget and would like some cost saving options (ie laminate counters instead of granite). I told her I want our kitchen to look nice, but I do not need high end products. She built us the kitchen she wanted us to have. No one can believe us when we tell them what she quoted us. She had the nerve to quote our highest package STARTING at $73K. Yes. $73K. The second package was quoted starting at $61K. And the third package for us peasants who can't afford gold counters started at $30K. I could not believe it. I replied to her and told her she should be ashamed of her customer service. If you want to provide service to people who can and want to pay that much for counters then fine, do it. But when people come to you with a budget and explain their circumstances, LISTEN. If you have to tell us you're out of our price range then do it. Don't insult us by quoting us SEVENTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. We went to Home Depot and got the same exact package for $9K. LOL. $9K.
