Maple donut, lemon poppyseed donut, and then the donut at the back with two bites out of it, is the lavender English tea donut.
    Lisa Z.

The donuts were delicious. The donuts have NO seed oils, they are Fried in palm oil and the glazes use olive oil. The guy at the register was very helpful and Friendly. The atmosphere is in construction. They will be having a stage With an eatery for things like burritos and such in a couple of months. I'm very excited that they've moved to this location as it is easier for me to get to. Sometimes i just have to have a doughnut. Today I got a lavender English breakfast donut that is partly eaten in the photo, a maple donut and a lemon poppyseed donut

I was excited to try out Donut Farm after hearing about it being the best place to get vegan donuts! Came by around noon on a weekend. Donut Farm is located in a small shopping strip. Parking is limited but I was able to snag a spot despite it being the weekend. Service was pretty fast. Took a little bit to decide, but once I knew which ones I wanted to try, the guy was fast at boxing and checking out. The donuts range in pricing from $3 and up. Their fancier donuts are $4.50 a pop. There was a sign noting that all donuts are made vegan, organic, and nut free. I tried the plain glazed ($3), meyer lemon ($3.50), and matcha ($3.50) donuts. My favorite was the meyer lemon which had a nice bright citrus flavor. The plain glazed were good as well. Would not recommend the matcha one though - it didn't taste like matcha green tea at all unfortunately. The donuts were pretty good, especially as vegan baked goods. I wouldn't go out of my way just to grab donuts here, but it was a nice treat.

If you need a chikkn & waffle fix this is the spot. So good had me questioning if it was plant based

First time at the actual location - only tried about 247 times at other cafes who supply them. Of course the biggest advantage is that they have much more assorted variety, especially if you're like me and like to try non-conventional flavors. They also sell coffee for those wanting to complement their baked goods with something to help wash it down!

Steak and egg taco, English muffin breakfast sandwich, Boston cream donut

After years of no brunch, they're serving brunch again! My partner and I split the English muffin breakfast sandwich and the steak and egg tacos, which were excellent, as well as a donut which was good as always! Friendly and fast service, a spacious interior, clean bathroom. We'll be back! And i would love it if you bring back the crunch wrap, I still dream about it! Weekday breakfast would also be amazing!

Philz Coffee Donut wow so good!

You must be lying to me. This was one of the best vegan donuts I've ever had didn't know it was vegan until well after it was finished. The staff was friendly and great to talk to. She helped me make a very difficult decision get a coffee, donut or a maple donut. Just so everyone knows the answer moving forward should be both. I ended up getting a coffee donut and absolutely loved it. It taste delicious. And then I got to take a small bite of maybe a dozen other donuts. Places, fun and worth going in and checking out not too loud so you can definitely sit down and enjoy your donut afterwards if you would like .

Fresh off the plane we decided to stop off for donuts on coffee as we made our way to Napa Valley and I am glad I found it. The coffee was amazing & fresh! I haven't had coffee this strong and flavorful in awhile. The matcha coffee was also delicious. They only have options for Hot Matcha but they also have cold drink options, some with CBD. Let's get into these donuts! AMAZING! I couldn't believe they were vegan! I enjoyed the blueberry donut but I couldn't really taste the blueberry. It was still tasty and enjoyable. I would recommend dipping your donut into the coffee for a sweet tasty surprise. Overall if you are looking for a local donut shop, you will enjoy it!

When my Berkeley-native friend suggested vegan donuts for dessert, I was honestly pretty hesitant. He swore they tasted amazing and convinced me to try them. My group of 9 popped in to Donut Farm on Saturday afternoon around 20 minutes before closing. There were plenty of metered street parking spots close to the shop. The interior is simple and no fuss. The employee was not exactly bubbly, but answered the questions we had. All of the donuts I tried were REALLY good! ($3-$3.50 each). Would never have been able to tell they were vegan. ----- FLAVORS ----- * Philz coffee - My least favorite due to lack of strong coffee flavor, but still tasty. * Lavender earl grey - My favorite. The taste was well-balanced. You could taste the floral tea notes, but it was not overwhelming. * Matcha - This was an instant order for me. If matcha's on the menu, I always get it. This donut did not disappoint. * Chocolate cookie donut - My partner's favorite because he loves chocolate. It wasn't overpoweringly rich. * Orange creamsicle - Really light subtle flavor. * Blueberry - Tasty, but not the most memorable of the bunch. Donut Farm is definitely worth it and I look forward to coming back.

    Vegan glazed donuts $2.50
    Magda G.

I had a donut craving and came in right before closing so my surprise that all their donuts are vegan. I had the glazed which was delicious, it was so soft and fluffy and had just enough glazed sugar on it. At $2.50 for glazed, I thought it was very good. My friend had the gourmet blueberry donut but I find those too dense and cake-y if you will for my taste. CC accepted.

The whole donut. Very light and airy donut.

The ambiance was very chill and the raspberry donut was delicious and airy. The jelly and glaze wasn't saccharine like most donuts I've had and they are vegan which is a lifestyle choice I normally don't take. Patrick and Josh both are good folks and are very hospitable and service-oriented. I totally recommend this quaint donut shop.

You can get our donuts at Nourish Cafe, Ritual Roasters, Farleys on Potrero Hill, and at our ferrybuilding store when it re-opens 1/3/22. Feel free to request our donuts at Philz locations, but they paused their orders in 2020.

    For now, yes

I think it might've been a bit undercooked... I don't think I would try another one unfortunately. I think I would also stick with the sweet bakery items moving forward. Their menu showed items like waffles and croissant French toast, which sounded really promising. I decided to try the croissant French toast and really wanted to like it. The croissant itself had potential, but the egg mixture was very heavy and lacked some of the warm flavors you typically expect in French toast, like cinnamon or vanilla. Even with the berries and syrup, it still leaned very egg-forward. I also ordered a side of bacon for some extra protein, and that was actually cooked really well. For drinks, I tried the strawberry latte with the vanilla bean soft top. I initially expected more of a coffee-forward drink, but it was much sweeter and reminded me more of an elevated strawberry milk. The space itself is cute and gives more of a social, aesthetic hangout vibe than a traditional brunch spot. Parking can also be a bit tricky. There's free parking in the Trader Joe's garage nearby, but it's unclear whether parking there while dining at the café is allowed. Overall, I liked the concept and atmosphere more than the actual food during this visit.

The food was always good, but the service was never particularly warm--polite, efficient, and impersonal, like a well-drilled operation. Today we took a twenty-minute ride with our six-week-old baby for one last visit before they close for good. We arrived before their advertised closing time, yet were coldly denied service. There was no one waiting behind us, but we were met with an inflexible, robotic "sorry, we're closed." No one was overtly rude, but the interaction felt rigid and mechanical, as if following procedure mattered more than acknowledging the people standing in front of them. It would not have taken much effort to accept one last order from a loyal couple with a newborn--especially since nobody else was waiting behind us. In the end, Standard Fare is closing exactly as it operated: precise, rigid, and lacking warmth. Hopefully the next business in this location will treat its customers with a bit more empathy.

It's also one of those places that makes you want to stay. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and generous. Every time I come here, I tell myself I'll pace myself... and every time I fail because it's just that good. The burgers are loaded and perfectly balanced, the fries are always crisp (never soggy, which is rare), and everything tastes high-quality and made to order. You have to try the chicken and waffles. The waffle batter tastes homemade and the butter takes it to another level... it's one of those dishes you keep thinking about after. I'll even DoorDash it all the way to Jingletown. The patio setup is really well done... there's a mix of larger tables for groups and higher bar-style seating for smaller hangs. The wooden furniture and cushioned benches make it comfortable, and they've got heaters for colder days and umbrellas when it's sunny, so you can usually pick your ideal spot. The food always looked really good, but for whatever reason I always ended up ordering from somewhere else. Well, I finally did it. I finally ordered from Cali Alley, and all I have to say is, why did I wait so darn long? Door Dash was having a 2-for-1 deal on the Cali Alley Burger, so I ordered one of those (and got another for free) , as well as on the small mac and cheese, so I ended up with two of those as well. I got fries as he side for the burgers and saved the second burger and mac and cheese for the next day. I also bought a small side of veggie fried rice for lunch later in the week. OK, let's start with the fries ... wow. Super crispy. Don't know what they do to them, but I think I almost ate all the fries that came with one of the burgers before I even touched the burger. The fries seemed to have a coating like some fries do to make them extra crispy on the outside. Whatever it was, it made them so good, I couldn't stop eating them. I was almost too full for the burger. But who are we kidding? If there is one thing I am good at, it is eating more than I should. The burger, which is described on Door Dash as "char grilled, fresh ground brisket and short rib burger, served on a toasted brioche fun with crisp lettuce, tomato onion marmalade and garlic aioli" was thick and incredibly flavorful. I couldn't stop eating that, either. It was that good. I ordered it medium, and it was pretty pink, but it was sooooooo flavorful, and all the toppings worked well together. I didn't get any cheese on it because I wanted to try to burger by itself and not mask it with cheese. I might try adding cheese next time, but honestly the burger is so good, I almost wouldn't want to cover up its flavor with cheese. Oh, I almost forgot. When you order on Door Dash, you can opt to have them include a small side of their chocolate-chipotle bbq sauce, and I highly recommend that you get it. It's a really interesting flavor and is good for dipping the fries in. I didn't try putting it on the burger, but that might be good, too. The mac and cheese was OK. It's important to note that I enjoyed the flavor but it is more of an eggy consistency than a saucy mac and cheese if that makes sense. It has a nice kick of black pepper, which I liked, though. The vegetarian fried rice was also fine but could have used a little salt. All that to say, don't be like me and procrastinate, get the Cali Alley Burger and fries ASAP.
