There's something about a donut that draws me in, and it doesn't matter what part of the world it's made. It could be at a train station in Dublin or a funky alley in Tokyo. It could be piled high in fresh strawberries in LA, covered in Fruit Loops in Portland. It could be beignets in New Orleans or simple cake donuts like the ones served off this mobile kiosk in the middle of Bergen's Fisketorget (fish market).
Of course I could've gotten one, but hey, the bargain came in purchasing five for $4, definitely a deal in economically inflated Norway. That meant we got three with chocolate icing and jimmies and two with vanilla icing (photo: https://bit.ly/3QWA72t). Apparently the maple bacon fad hasn't hit Bergen yet. No matter as they were too spongey and the icing too sweet to devour. Just as well as we had healthier meals ahead of us.
