First off, ABQ doesn't have a lot of great donut shops---almost none that I've been able to find that really explore the art of good donut-teering. So the fact that this shop even exists is a plus. Second, and that said, if you're a connoisseur then you're likely to be disappointed. Their donuts, at least at this location, are made only once a day (at 5 a.m. so I'm told) and that's it for the day. That means that if you go in anytime after...8 a.m. then you're going to get a stale donut that has been sitting out, exposed to the air, for at least 3 hours. I'm a little surprised that they just don't make 2 or 3 batches throughout the day... If you're there towards closing, the pickings even look pretty miserable. Third and finally, I gotta say I'm impressed that they sell donut holes here, and a ton for very cheap. That's kind of the saving grace. The regular donuts are mediocre, but donut holes are fun anyway. I probably won't make purchasing from here a habit, but in a quick bind it'll do. read more

I am a huge fan of Donut Mart on Coors in the Ladera Shopping Center. I called from Texas to place an order to be delivered to my Grandma of her favorite "Bowties". In the immortal words of Homer Simpson: Hmmm Donuts!!! I drive past the Montgomery Rd location daily and live close to the Coors Rd store but never really paid a lot of attention to them. We had just finished dinner in the same strip mall and I was looking for something sweet for dessert. Well I've never turned my back on a good donut (or 2). These were fresh tasting and delicious, even though it was late in the day - think I had 3 of their original donuts total. There is a wide variety of donuts, I'm sure there's something for everyone. If nothing else the selection will keep me coming back. DM also includes breakfast fare, muffins, croissants and bagels. They looked good, but I'll have to come early for most of that. Besides I was fixated on the donuts. A couple of other bonus points - they are a local ABQ business and judging from the letters and presentations adorning the walls involved in many community events. Debbie at donut mart is a gem, they open early on the weekdays, so I have time to pick up treats for my 6am meeting. I can call the day before to place my order and Debbie has everything ready! My colleagues love the food, there is a wide variety to choose from (donuts, bagels, burritos, coffee!), and the prices are very reasonable. I was sad they closed the donut mart on Lomas that used to be my favorite little spot after the one on Montgomery. This is the first time I've been to this one. The girl was lovely and patient but the quality of the donuts were so bad... they were hard and flavorless. I don't blame the cashier. Most donut places keep the donut out too long. So the bad: Heard an ad on the radio for the Isotopes special so stopped in and was told they didn't have a special like that. I stopped in for a coffee and a donut based on a recommendation of a friend. This is my new go to spot! They now make breakfast burritos, which are stuffed full of yummy goodness of green chile bacon, hash browns, eggs, cheeses, and chile. They are made fresh when you order so never sitting out. The staff is warm and helpful which always makes a place better. The coffee hits the spot whether you rear and drink there or take to go. Give it a shot! read more

Breakfast sandwich off the chart tasty but they never get it right. Last time did not put cheese or green Chile and the girl who took the order repeated it back correct . I don't even say anything anymore I guess when they actually put the green Chile that I ordered and paid for on the sandwich I will celebrate. The donuts are always either stale, or stale by the next morning. I've never had donuts that go stale so fast. We ordered a cake donut and two chocolate glazed, and while they were making our drinks I bit into the cake donut. It was so dry and stale there was no way that it was freshly made. I threw it in the trash by the counter. Not sure but I think they mix the old and new to save money. I'm done even trying them anymore. Anywhere is better than this location. read more

I am a poor college student who also works so I loveee caffeine. Donut mart has the best deal on iced coffee anywhere I've been in Albuquerque. They also have the local piñon hot brewed coffee- which is my favorite. I love how Donut mart is a local business that sells good food and coffee for an affordable price. Other local coffee shops are so expensive. Not to mention I have never had a bad experience with the staff. Always recommend. read more

Amazing! Breakfast burritos are big and delish! Where else can you get the option of having turkey bacon and or chicken sausage in your burrito! Best by far and I am totally a breakfast burrito person! I am a difficult customer that asks a lot of questions. They were respectful and kind to my needs. The donuts and bagels are just as amazing and giant. You get a lot of value as the quality is high and the prices are so low. I am a happy customer. This is the only donut mart I've visited, but each time it's always a great experience. Not only is the coffee great (hot or iced) the donuts fresh and yummy, and the breakfast burritos delicious...but the staff is great too. From the manager to the employees taking your order, it's always friendly and welcoming and I don't know about you, but to me, a great food experience includes the service you get. I'd have to say, that I usually get so sad when great customer service is given because we've become so used to being treated "mediocre" as a consumer. BUT not at donut mart!!! Not only is thier coffee fresh and delicious, but they have HANDS DOWN the nicest staff ever. And not just at the coors location. I sometimes stop at Juan Tabo because I live near there. The gentleman behind the counter speaks to everyone like an old friend, and he engages with every family and the kids!!! I work across the street from the coors location and they have provided many breakfasts and snacks for meetings. They have also pulled through when I have emergency meetings that I have to supply gallons of coffee for at the last minute. They are my heros!! Try the breakfast burritos! read more

Came here with my friend to grab a quick dozen. The service was and friendly and my donuts were fresh. I had a peanut cinnamon roll and it was huge. I think next time I'll stick to a regular size donut. The donuts aren't Krispy Kreme or dunkin but their excellent for a traditional donut. I'd recommend this place to someone looking for something in between a store bought and large chain donut. read more

I come here all the time. The coffee is so worth it, plus, they let you add your own syrup sweetener which is unheard of doing. People are right about a different donut taste. They are softer than DD, less sugary than KK, not as exotic as Rebel, and almost as good as Duke City; however, they are quality donuts. Very un happy with the customer service at this location, especially at 6:00 in the morning. I had to wait in line for over 15 minuets before I could place my order. I asked the ONE!!!! associate working behind the counter if she had another associate she stated no the owner of the store pulled her away to help him. In the time I was the there 4 people walked out due to the lack of help. At no fault to the ONE!!! Associate I give her praise for being patient and apologetic because her Boss obviously doesn't know how to staff his store when a large to go order is placed. Big selection of donuts, bagels, and breakfast items. The vanilla eclair was filled with a delicious, light and fluffy cream. I also ordered a crossing with an egg. The croissant was moist and airy. The burrito bowl actually came on a paper plate. It was nothing special, but ok. One of the workers was quite grumpy and acted put out when she got the order number mixed up. read more

They are decently priced. They are delicious! They are sweet, if you go in enough, like I do, they give you a homey feel. They know my name and my family and always ask about everyone when I come in. My favorite combo is the #6, a coffee, a croissant egg and cheese sandwich, always tasty and filling, and a donut, all for only $3 and change. They offer a complimentary flavor station which I love! It's the only place I know I can get flavored coffee to my taste for a cheap price! My favorite donut is a specialty of theirs, the cookies and creme; is definitely satisfies my sweet tooth and then some! read more

Donut mart on juan tabo...but all are just the same..NOT even worth a star...this place is soo cheap with their fillings it's unbelievable. M wife got six donuts and all filled chocolate filled...they should call it chocolate nofilled.. And this is not the first time. The vanilla wasn't much better. Why do give businesses 100% of your money.. And they only give you 50% of what you wanted..you guys are so cheap they were stale and hard. Duncan donuts will Abe a way better choice next time. I went in around 6:00 and ordered a muffin which was wrapped in plastic. *Note to self, wrapped means old.* I went back to return it and asked for something else. The employee got one that was unwrapped from the back of the tray and poked it with her bare finger and said, it too, was hard. She then proceeded to poke on various items with her finger and told me they were hard. I asked her to stop touching the goods. Hygiene and public food service requirements?
