Due to the limitations on how much you can write on Yelp reviews I couldn't previously add that a final problem we had was EACN's inability to wipe our daughter - she came home numerous days with clumpy poop stains in her underwear because they didn't go in with her! SHE'S 2! She doesn't know how to properly wipe! They simply let the kids go to the restroom unattended and don't monitor them well enough to make sure they wash their hands. We watched while there on a couple occasions as kids simply went in, shut the door for over 5 minutes and then simply came out and went back to playing (yuck!) without washing their hands. The teachers never even noticed. Also their "reading chair" in one room is the back seat out of an old pickup truck. One of the pictures recently submitted by "M.N." actually shows it with a person reading to a kid on it. They're dingy and nasty, not to mention probably dangerous on the underside since they aren't intended as actual furniture. Bonus alert - the walk from the cafeteria area to the classrooms contains an external exit that can simply be pushed open by any kid. I watched a teacher walk a class of kids from the cafeteria back to a room without turning around to watch them once. Any of those kids could have bolted down that side hallway and headed out that door and been gone for at least 5 minutes before being noticed. (There was no teacher at the back of the line.) There's no fence at this particular exit and a major street directly outside. Most facilities have a button out of reach that must be pushed to open the door. This place is seriously rinky dink and the teachers are simply OK at best. Fisher Price should be ashamed to have a place like this on it's campus. Speaking of the campus - don't try to pick up your kids between 5-5:15pm. They block the only entrance (dumb) to the campus by making it a double lane exit only. You'll get turned around at the gate if you try to enter. Why not put in a secondary "exit only" gate with spike strips to prevent entry?? How long has this place been here? What happens in an emergency (especially to kids) and you've got 200 yards of double lane traffic blocking the only entrance?

We are very pleased with the level of care our children have received the last four years. Most importantly, our children are very happy and content. They have always had excellent teachers, the entire faculty has been wonderful. EACN is located on the Fisher Price campus. There is a large, newly designed playground, an indoor gym, onsite nurse, optional gymnastics program, onsite Aspire, huge cafeteria and more. I especially like the location in a neighborhood setting, which allows for classroom walks in the Village and the babies are taken in stollers whenever weather permits. My children enjoy the lunch menu (whole wheat bread is used) and breakfast is served until 8am, and two snacks per day. My son will be starting kindergarten next year. He is well prepared and the transition to full time school will be easier for him because of the teachers at EACN and the preparation thus far. They have done a great job incorporating learning and fun! My husband is a school teacher outside of the East Aurora district. He has advanced degrees in education. We did our homework when we looked at daycare centers four years ago, and it is our findings that this facility has proven to be the best possible daycare to send our children to. We made the right decision!!

Pixie is a PEANUT/TREE-NUT FREE FACILITY. TEACHERS: I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer in my kid's classroom several times throughout the year and I found all of the teachers caring and attentive. The classroom management was wonderful and the transitions were smooth. Pre-K teachers tend to rotate but I am confident that the owner/director hires fully capable individuals. CURRICULUM: My child was able to learn so much in a span of one year and thrived the year after in Kindergarten. In fact, it took a few months in Kindergarten to finally get into something new. This is an ideal place for a kid to be. COMMUNICATION: Although as a parent it felt like there could have been more communication about progress, as a former teacher it was understood that no news was good news. There were no concerns about comprehension, development, or behavior. However, all emails and questions were answered quickly and with full information provided. EXTRAS/EVENTS: Throughout the year there were special performances and events held to involve parents which were greatly appreciated and allowed the parents to share in the Pre-K experiences as many 2020 Post-Shut-Down parents didn't get to experience with their children. Overall, I would highly recommend Pixie Village to any parent. They would do best to accommodate your request. Since this is franchised establishment so it does come with few pros and cons. Pros such as ease of online payment facility, a friendly mobile app sharing all activity of your child instantly as that happens, transparent and quick communication with teachers, as far as cons are concerned, like other corporate establishment it does regulated by policies where center has little to no influence so at times even folks want to help they simply can not. Our kid is only 3 month old so can't have his feedback on how he has been taken care during his stay, but he seems content once we are home from there so I guess he's finding it quite okay. : Deeply Concerned - Please Read Before Enrolling Your Child at Precious People's Daycare in Alden…read more I had a deeply upsetting experience at Precious People's Daycare that I feel obligated to share in hopes of protecting other children and families. Only a few weeks after enrolling my children, I personally witnessed a staff member scream at an infant, aggressively rip a pacifier out of a child's mouth, and yell at my son. I immediately stepped in and told the staff member their behavior was completely unacceptable and inappropriate.I brought this to the attention of the director via email, as she wasn't on site at the time. Rather than investigating the situation or asking for clarification, she terminated our contract, stating my children were no longer welcome at the daycare. As if they would ever go back. I reported the incident to the state licensing authority, as what I witnessed constituted verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. The day after the state investigated, the director attempted to retaliate by claiming my daughter's behavior was "out of control" -- something that has never been said about her in years of attending other daycares without issue. It felt like a clear effort to discredit our family and shift blame. This daycare raises many red flags: -No website or transparent contact information -No platform to leave or read reviews -Staff members who are not properly trained or supervised If you're considering this daycare, I urge you to ask questions, demand transparency, and trust your gut. I share this not out of anger, but out of duty to protect other families. Please be cautious. Advocate for your children. Speak up when something doesn't feel right.
