I paid David W. Sowers, sole owner of, Door Hangers Direct, $400 to deliver 2,000 Door Hangers. According to David's GPS Data, 25% went to the right neighborhoods, 25% went to the wrong neighborhoods, and 50% are completely unaccounted for. I showed this to David and I asked him to do another 2,000 door hangers and give me 1,000 of those for free, to make up for the the 1,500 that were never delivered and/or delivered to the wrong neighborhoods. He never responded to those emails or phone messages. David Sowers, took my money and did not deliver on what he promised me. Not only am I out $300 for undelivered door hangers, I am out the money that I paid to have those door hangers to be printed. I tired Door Hanger Direct, after I was ripped-off by Shane Aidala the sole owner of Denver Door Hangers. These business seem to take your money and throw you fliers, door hangers in the trash. Just as other reviewers have stated here, Facebook and other sites, this company violates local business soliciting ordinances and continues to place promotional materials literally on top of obvious "No Soliciting" signs, even when signs explicitly state "please no flyers, advertisements, or any sort of promotional material". This is not only incredibly rude, but it also alienates and potentially infuriates the very markets these businesses are attempting to reach with the advertising materials. What a waste of client funds! My neighbors vow to never do business with any service providers who advertise through these flyers, but I realize that the businesses advertised on the flyers likely have no idea that this unwanted soliciting is occurring. It is the vendor's door to door distributors who are blatantly ignoring our signs. After receiving more flyers this week despite my complaints to customer service (no response at this time from Door Hangers Direct, Inc.), I reached out directly to the businesses advertised on the flyers. As of today, four expressed genuine concern and assured me that if the complaints continue that they will choose another vendor who is willing to respect the wishes of the homeowners in their local areas. It really shouldn't have to come to this - I urge the representatives of this organization to educate their staff on etiquette to prevent this sort of backlash. read more

Anderson Windows hired Door Hangers Direct to hang a flyer on our door. While doing so, this person thought it would also be a good idea to steal a package (see video below). I have already called the police, Anderson Windows and Door Hangers Direct. It's not bad enough that we have to worry about package thieves but now we have companies hiring thieves to go door to door. Also, when I called David Sowers at Door Hangers Direct, all he could tell me was the woman's name. I had a package stolen from my doorstep in the Highlands (on the same day last week & only 5 blocks East of the gentleman who posted before me) by a person who was hired by Door Hangers Direct to hand out flyers. I spoke to David Sowers on the phone today who admitted that they were short-staffed last week and ended up hiring a homeless person to do the work instead. I still have not heard back from him after my call, and no solution was offered. This is absolutely unacceptable to hire people who have not been vetted BEFORE going from people's home to home. DO NOT TRUST this company as they obviously operate under shady business practices. read more

I contracted the work of Door Hangers Direct and was mislead by David about his hiring practices. I was told that background checks were performed on employees, but this is NOT true. While hanging flyers, an employee of his stole valuable packages from the doorsteps of several homes. Come to find out this employee was a homeless person he hired without a background check, phone number or address. This was the first and last time I ever use this company or any company that fails to vet their employees properly. If you're considering using these services, beware! read more

Dishonest and unreputable!!!! We paid to have door hangers delivered and they only hung slightly over half what we paid them to do. We had members of our business scour the neighborhoods and we added up all the hangers to find that they did about 55% of what was contracted. Don't waste your money with this business, there are other companies out there that act in a professional manner. read more

I chose to use Door Hangers Direct because they assured me of how well they track distribution and door delivery. They were the most expensive, but I gave them a try and they failed miserably. Over 400 homes received their door hangers on the sidewalk or wadded up on the steps. Terrible first impression for a start up company. What makes is worse is the lack of responsibility from the owner. No compensation for the marketing material that was trashed. Billed my CC for the full balance after this issue was brought to his attention. Bad service and horrible business ethics. Stay clear if you care about your company's reputation! read more

I agree with the other reviewers! This company actually hangs fliers ON my sign that says 'No Soliciting/ No Fliers'! I spoke to them and was told they instruct their delivery people to leave them at the doors regardless. For the reasons pointed out in the other reviews, I would imagine this is completely off-putting to the recipient and detrimental to the business being advertised.
