First, let me state that I am very concerned about Kerry H.'s review about Doorway. This does not sound like the review of someone who has actually been to Doorway, or has any idea whatsoever what they do there, or has sent her child to Doorway. This is NOT an after school program. It is a charitable religious program that opens it's doors to ALL the children in the community. Specifically, they host a Friday night youth group. They also host community picnics. Friday nights have a short, child friendly sermon. But honestly it is mostly a SAFE place for kids to play games (they have a whole wall of board games), make crafts, and hang out with their friends. There are teens (who have been going there for years and are now volunteers) that help with the small children. I HAVE been sending my daughter there for over 6 years. She loves meeting friends, and is now into knitting because she tried it there. They do have snack: popcorn, hot dogs, nachos. They also sometimes have donations from people which can include cookies, cupcakes, and so on. For the record...I have NEVER heard the the "Haunted Crack House". Seriously, I have no idea where the info for that review came from. read more
