Came here for a weekday lunch and it was a pretty nice experience. The restaurant looks very aesthetic and nicely decorated. You can choose between indoor and outdoor seating. I'm not sure why but there was a pretty strong burnt smell in the restaurant. Service was very friendly and our server often came around to refill our water and check in on us. We ordered brussels sprouts, potato croquettes, and prosciutto and burrata as our appetizers. The potato croquettes were nice and crispy - probably my favorite. I got the Spaghetti Botarga as my entree and it was very filling. Some of the salmon pieces did feel a bit overcooked, but overall the dish was super tasty! The sauce was coated very evenly on the pasta which I really liked. In the end, our sever helped pack our leftovers into to-go boxes. read more

Let's start with the good: the food! The food here is absolutely delicious! My sister and I came for a late lunch and we got the Doppio Zero pizza, the ravioli and the Brussels sprouts, all to share and both got a Hugo Spritz. The drink was super strong so well worth the price, the pizza has burrata, prosciutto, arugula and Parmesan and all in hefty quantities. The ravioli was the star however, the truffle sauce it came with was to die for! Now the bad: the service. We came around 2pm, not a busy time at all and I honestly wouldn't think of coming back during a busy time if THATS the service they provide. For starters we entered and there was no one at the host stand, we waited a good 10 minutes before someone approached the stand. As we were seated and looking at the menu, my sister and I noticed we had two different menus. Items on the one I had were missing on hers and vice versa. It took a while for someone to come over and acknowledge us, when someone finally did, it was the bar tender. We ordered our food and the pizza I had originally ordered was on my menu and not the one my sister had and he told me they were out of it. It would have been nice to know WHICH menu they go off of. I additionally asked for bread for the table (the menu says it's by request). Our appetizer came out and no bread so I asked the woman that brought out the sprouts if we could have some bread to which she responded "yes" and never came back. Our pizza and pasta came out (brought out by the same woman) and again I asked if we could please have some bread to which she said "yes" and again never came back with bread. I'm pretty sure she didn't understand me because all the service staff and the management that was walking around was speaking in Spanish but the least she could have done was let our server know we needed something if she didn't understand what I was asking for. The staff in general was just very unprofessional. The guy that had taken our order started complaining to another server about the tip a table had left and while it was in Spanish, I understood every word. Just seemed like a conversation that could have been had in the back room because while they maybe think "no one will understand" someone might and it kills the vibe. Let me start off by saying I had never seen or heard of Doppio before my dinner and MAN was I missing out! As soon as we walk in, I e were greeted and sat down. The decor inside is beautiful but simplistic. Makes you want to come dressed up but also have a casual night out. We started off with the appetizers since we came when happy hour was still going on (that's a plus!) we order the calamari which were delicious! I would definitely order again. Sorry we didn't take a picture, it didn't stand a chance! We were too hungry! For my entrée I chose Melanzane alla Parmigana. THIS was by far the best thing I've tasted in a long time. Essentially it is like a veggie lasagna. And no, I am not a vegetarian lol but this was so good, I'm coming back for just that! My fiance chose the Marechiaro. It is pasta made with squid ink and a bunch of seafood in it. It included shrimp, scallops, and clams. Super delicious and a healthy portion! She loved it! Located in Downtown Campbell among a plethora of hip dining locations, Doppio Zero fits right in with its warm yet modern interior, packed with seating but still managing to be inviting and worthy of a nice night out with friends or family. Doppio Zero's menu and marketing heavily emphasize their pizzas but after trying them out for the first time, I think they are doing themselves a disservice because while the pizzas failed to impress, the pastas were incredibly good and worth a return visit on their own. I had a chance to try the Jalapeno and Pulcinella pizzas, both of which fell a little flat. Despite all the fancy ingredients they list on the menu for the pizzas, they ended up tasting pretty basic and both were rather undercooked in the middle, leaving them limp and doughy. The one shining star was the Fungo mushroom pizza, but it's such a strong and rich flavor that I would be careful before making it your whole meal. If you are absolutely determined to order a pizza, my recommendation would be to pair up with someone you are dining with to split a pasta and pizza dish together so that you can try out both sides of the menu and hopefully not grow bored or tired of any particular flavor. The real star of the show for me was the pasta, specifically the Fregola Del Pescatore which was excellent, and absolutely packed with an impressive depth of flavor from the seafood and sauce. I actually ordered this unaware that Fregola was type of round little pasta and while I might have preferred a more traditional noodle, the rest of the ingredients more than made up for the surprising noodle shape. Despite the pizzas shortcomings, the upscale atmosphere and delicious pasta is reason enough for me to come back here in the future. read more

They kicked everyone out an hour before closing, service was inconsistent and one of the barmen was so rude while the other one was nice. Cocktails - none of them are actually mixed at the bar! Everything is premixed, and bartenders just kind of garnish the drinks for appearance's sake so it's not possible to adjust sweetness levels at all. Why bother having a full bar when you're not going to make real drinks? Selling ambience over function is so lazy, and to charge market-level prices ($15-17 / cocktail before tax + tip) is ridiculous. Octopus appetizer was so bland and tasteless. Plenty of parking options. We were a group of 7 and had good service. The food and drink options were good the calamari was golden and perfectly crisp. I had the sea bass dish which was perfectly cooked. A bigger piece of fish would be better instead of the bigger portion size of the pasta (seemed like it was couscous). It truly pains me to write this review as I had such a great experience the last few times I went to this location and the Mountain View one (which I have a 4 star Review on Yelp) but this one just isn't the same... Let's start with the drinks: Every time I go I always get the same drink, the "pornstar". It's always refreshing with great flavor. This time I wasn't even able to drink it. It tasted like I was drinking perfume. I am not sure how much vanilla they used but it was definitely way too much! Wish I had asked them to remake it as it was $16 wasted. Now for the food: We got two appetizers, the meatballs and the shrimp and calamari. The meatballs were pretty average but the shrimp and calamari appetizer was extremely salty! I've ordered these before and this was never the case. The Margherita Pizza is typically a hit but unfortunately it was soggy and lacked a lot of flavor. I am not sure if the Mountain View location is also going down hill but unfortunately I will not be coming to this location again. read more

The inside of the restaurant is very spacious and they have a beautiful bar area. It is a really nice restaurant for a date night, birthday, or anniversary. I got the burrata as an appetizer and the bread was sweet and the cheese was very creamy. The pizza I got was also good because it had a thin crust and was very flavorful. Came here with my dinner group as someone wanted to try it out. On a weeknight, while there was a crowd at this location, we were still able to be seated right away. We were a bit close to the front door and the draft kept hitting us, but overall it wasn't too bad. The staff was attentive and took our orders when we were all present. We ordered a few small plates to share - broccolini, brussels sprouts, calamari and shrimp. I guess we were hungry as no one stopped to take pictures before they were devoured. I really enjoyed the broccolini and the brussels sprouts - both had a great crunch and flavor to them. For our main entrees - there were a few orders of the wild boar fettuccine, gnocchi, the jalapeno pizza and the dopio zero pizza. I enjoyed my jalapeno pizza, but it wasn't a crispy as I usually like it. The flavors were good, but I wished it had a better crust to it. Those who had the wild boar fettuccine really enjoyed their food; the gnocchi was deemed "okay" while the dopio zero pizza was "fine". The highlight were the desserts for sure - we ordered the tiramisu, cioccolato cake and lemoncello cake. All three were fantastic and everyone had a nice end to the meal. I can't decide which one I liked more, so I may have to go back and taste the desserts again. Terrible experience due entirely to the manager on duty last night (1/24/26 around 9:30-10:30 pm). We were a group of 8, having dinner and drinks. Our server never informed us that it was last call for drinks before 10:30, despite the restaurant closing at 11. At 10:32 pm, we politely asked if we could order another round and a bottle of wine--something we would have easily finished before 11 pm. The server told us the manager would not allow it. When I spoke directly with the manager, he flatly refused, saying his staff needed to be out by 11. I explained that wouldn't be an issue for us and that the problem was we were never told it was last call. His response? "Well, you should know when we close." So as a customer, I'm expected to watch the clock instead of being informed by staff? This manager was dismissive, rude, and showed zero interest in customer service or basic hospitality. Because of him, the business lost at least $100 in drink sales that night--and likely all of our future business. The servers are always kind, professional, and hardworking, which makes this even more frustrating. Unfortunately, one manager with an attitude can ruin the entire experience. Management seriously needs to address this--because this level of rudeness is unacceptable. read more

Most of the pastas are red sauces which is a bit lame but I got the fettuccine wild boar and enjoyed it - nothing to rave about but not bad. My friend got the jalapeno pizza. For $25 we were expecting it to be mind blowingly good. Once again, it wasn't bad, but it was nothing to write home about. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I love the indoor outdoor concept. I will note that when we came in the entire place smelled like fish - something I don't mine but some people would not like. The main reason for my bad review was the service. Our server greeted us promptly and took our order, but then never came back throughout the entire meal. We waived someone down for a box and that person laughed at us and asked another girl to get us a box. We then had to waive another person down for the check. Overall for the price I would expect to at least be treated like a guest and not an inconvenience. The HH menu has a nice variety of small plates including two 6" pizzas. Drinks are discounted: draft beers $2 off, well drinks $2 off, cocktails $3 off, wine by glass $4 off. Cocktails were well made and delicious. We ordered the nixto old fashioned and DZ clover and we were very happy with the selection. For food, we ordered the fried calamari and shrimp and diavola pizza. The fried plate was good. The pizza was less impressive with few toppings and soggy crust. Doppio Zero. More like Double Oh Zero. Before there was Double Oh Seven, there was Pizza, Great Pizza. I'm shaken and stirred by how good this pizza is. We started with their San Francisco restaurant before a show and then found this more convenient South Bay location. We get "x minus one"pizzas (where "x" is the number of us we're ordering for, i.e, we get 2 pizzas for 3 of us or 3 pizzas for 4 of us), and always the Little Gem Salad which is my wife's favorite. We do mostly their takeout which adds pressure to parking close but I'll take my chances for excellent food. Pizzas Are Forever, especially at not too many Moneypennies. read more

This was my second time here and honestly it was so disappointing. The first time we came everything was a 10/10. Today however we stopped by around 1:30 and the food was just horrible. They took a lot of food and drinks off the menu that I really liked. We got a pear pizza? The pizza was see through, it was SO floppy and thin. It was just like a piece of cheese no dough. The goat cheese had a funky stinky taste to it. The pizza was drenched in oil to where it was dripping. The pizza was also cut into 4 HUGE slices? Last time we got a pizza here it was delicious and they cut it into decent portions. The Gnocci. Nothing special, tasted like dough balls in tomato water. The cocktails here are good. Been meaning to try this place for a while. Aesthetically it's very nice, and has an upscale vibe; I like how the restaurant opens to the patio seating. Came here this past Sunday, no reservation around 630pm (45 min for a table so we sat at the bar) I usually don't mind sitting at the bar, but this was the first time I've ever been splashed multiple times by a bartender making drinks. So I'm gonna be rethinking sitting at the bar going forward. Menu has nice variety of options. My partner and I just got some sodas. We placed our order with the bartender. Meatballs, Caesar salad, and course two ribeye medium rare for my partner and the fig and prosciutto pizza for me. The server repeated our order back to us, to make sure I also repeated it to him once more as clearly as I could (I think you know where this is going). Both starters were good but the meatballs were delivered lukewarm. Caesar hard to mess up too so no complaints there. When it came for the main course, they brought out a t-bone which we didn't order or know was on the menu (after we ordered we noticed a QR code on the menu for specials, that's when we saw there was a t-bone). The bartender never told us the specials (there was also just one bartender for the whole packed restaurant???). The food runner sighed and was annoyed, can't tell if with us or their coworker. After which the manager came by and apologized. Bartender was nowhere to be seen at this point. A few minutes later the bartender came back at me aggressively saying "I repeated your order twice to you, that's what you ordered" and I followed up with "we didn't order that and that's why I repeated the order I was making back to you too a second time, and I'm sorry if there was a miscommunication". He was not happy at that response. So anywhozer - my fig and prosciutto pizza was SO soggy and underbaked it was not edible, I took it home and baked it further and it was good. 2/5 Steak was really good, and at $38 dollars for a ribeye pretty solid deal. 5/5 came with a green sauce tho that didn't add to the dish, honestly felt like it took away from the flavor. We ordered a tiramisu to share and I got an espresso martini. Tiramisu was okay, last fingers weren't soaked even remotely with espresso, it was a bit dry and flavorless. Bartender totally spilled a bunch of the martini when he was making it and tried to play it off by moving the drink to the other side of the bar so his back was to us, added some cinnamon and swirled the drink to make it look like he didn't mess up. They very lightly torch a marshmallow to go with it. Espresso martini itself was good enough, but execution and garnish left me wanting, marshmallow didn't add anything since it still was cold and not even close to gooey or charred like the images on Yelp show. this is the third doppio zero location i've been to, and each time it does not disappoint me! we made a reservation for a weekday dinner and were seated immediately. it was surprisingly crowded for a weeknight! my family and i started with their fried calamari and shrimp, which came with both marinara and tartar sauce. crispy, salty perfection. we also got their burrata, which was fresh and paired nicely with the toasted bread and honey hazelnuts. our mains included the gnocchi, wild boar, and fungo pizza. i liked the addition of stracciatella on the gnocchi, but the wild boar pasta was cooked a little too al dente for us. the boar itself was nice and tender though. i'm bias towards anything truffle, so the mushroom truffle pizza was a great choice. we decided to splurge on dessert and went for their tiramisu and panna cotta. for the price i expected a slightly larger portion, but the taste made up for it! their tiramisu was just okay, but i highly recommend the panna cotta. not too sweet, silky, and the berry compote on top was a perfect compliment. read more

Let's get down to the thin crust pizza: **Doppio Zero ($25): Burrata cheese, 24 months Prosciutto di Parma, arugula, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano, E.V.O.O. If you like prosciutto, you will absolutely love this. Paired up with the creamy burrata cheese, and crust that was just the right amount of crunchy with a slight chewiness-- it was a winner. **La Carne ($22): San Marzano tomato, fior di latte mozzarella, Spanish chorizo, Italian sausage. My absolute fave. While my dining partner chose to omit chorizo (I was a little hot about that one..) this pizza was perfection. Simple in its toppings but you don't have to be fancy when it comes down to using high quality ingredients. Everything shines. **Spicy extra virgin olive oil to taste: Our server recommended this to us when she told us that one of her most favorite things to do was drizzle this spicy olive oil on her pizzas. When I tried it for the first time, I was sold. Adds just enough heat without being too much. Why didn't I know about this sooner? We liked it so much that we took this home to go.
