If I could give this place fewer stars I WOULD. I made an appointment MONTHS ago for my child. I provided all necessary information that you typically expect: date of birth, insurance, etc. The moment I walked through the door with my baby, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and immediately lectured me on not confirming the day prior. Not only that, she didn't even know who the appointment was FOR. There is only ONE non-adult in the room. I invite you to take a GUESS as to who the appointment is for. She told us my child couldn't be seen because they need more of a warning for small children. So, providing the date of birth when I originally made the appointment and saying repeatedly "this is for a BABY" when I did was not enough of a warning? 2 months isn't enough time? I have NEVER in my life been turned away because of a lack of confirmation. Why on earth would I make an appointment only to not show up? I have also never been treated so poorly at a doctor's office. I will not be coming back. To top it off, the parking situation is abysmal, there is no stroller parking despite being a facility that also caters to children, and the place itself looks dingy and dirty with party city grass and tacky golden giraffes. read more

This "Dr" put my eye health in danger and didn't provide the service I paid for. She also refused to give me a refund. "Dr" Espinoza gave me such a high prescription that my eyes started to cross and I had severe headaches. She gave me contact lens samples from a different brand, size, and strength than the prescription I was supposed to wear TWICE. She also lied to me and said the brand I used to wear was discontinued just so I would have to buy a more expensive brand from her. I never got a final prescription, she gave me like 4 different ones at the same time. I was always respectful and nice even when I had to take time out of my day to go back to her office so that she could correct her mistake. She never actually fixed it and seemed genuinely annoyed that I had to go back. I called to ask for a refund and left a message asking her to call me but I was completely ignored. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I feel like she disrespected me, my time, my money, and most importantly my eye health. I feel like I was scammed out of $90. read more

Personally I've been to different vision centers and I've never had such bad service. It's taken 2 weeks and I still don't have my glasses. I asked for the status and they don't know. Asked for my money back and they can't give it to me. When I ask to speak to a manager they say they are alone with no one there which I highly doubt is true. AVOID BRINGING YOUR CHILDREN HERE. Rudest optometrist. Does NOT like children. So nasty, dry, and rude. Doesn't even dress professional she looked like she was going to a gym. Took our two year old due to excessive blinking and he didn't behave well so she decided to treat us bad, showed lack of empathy and emotion. Showed him a picture of a flower he didn't know and he didn't know the name (because he's two years old!). She didn't even bother changing the picture, she decided to just not do anything and send him eye drops for allergies. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL experience. Let me start by saying that by being located in Doral the surprise was big when I got there for my first visit There is not a real reception desk, the only staff I saw works from a labtop, the waiting room is on the second floor and the equipment is old My visit was for contact lenses and glasses It was fast when done they were quick to get my deductible. I had to ask for my prescription because it was not given to me or offered to buy it there. For my contacts I was given a trial pair which's right after trying I noticed I couldn't see my phone or anything close so I called, I was toldd someone will call mee back since no one did I called the next day I was told to go at 1:00 I called to confirm and was told office was closed until 3:30 I went and without being seen and without a new trial pair my contact lenses were ordered Today I went to Costco to buy my glasses, the clerk asked do you have a prescription I said yes and after spending some time trying frames when I sat down and provided my prescription I was told they needed one signed. I called to have it fax and was told once again I needed to go to the office because they cannot fax it. Oh by the way I was asked to give a good review to mi insurance read more

If I can give them zero stars I would! I took my daughters glasses in on Jan 18 and I still don't have them. Her glasses broke so I had to get another one and I've been given the run around. It's pretty bad to feel annoyed after speaking with the today. They say my glasses will be at the Kendall office this coming Friday however I don't believe it at all as I've been told this back on February 1st. If my daughters glasses aren't there this Friday they can eat it or throw them away. I DO NOT plan on ever going back to this place again. Just found out the hard way that Dr Espinoza billed my insurance for contacts I never purchased from her! Grrrrrrrrr! Thank God my vision insurance customer service rep is top-notch. He's going to call Costco to verify I purchased contacts from them and then call Dr Espinoza's office to clear up the "mistake." Dr Espinoza is pleasant, but her office is horribly crowded and she seemed very annoyed that I returned and said my prescription was incorrect. I waited 1.5hrs for her to take 2min to write a new script. She simply rewrote my original contact prescription from 2yrs ago!!! QUACK! She seemed so nice. Terribly disappointed that she's a stereotypical Miami scam artist/quack doctor. :0( My daughter did receive glasses from this office and was quite pleased with them. However, the frames did not stand up to the Miami sun and the color faded after a short time. After 2mos, they looked liked they were 2yrs old. I've learned my lesson and will from here on simply go to Sears or Lens Crafters where the staff is held to some standard of ethics. I'll have to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed by my insurance, but I won't have to put up with the Miami "you have no choice but to put up with our crappy service" style of business. read more

My hubbie and I needed to get an annual eye exam so we decided to make an appt .. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Upon arrival, we were greeted and quickly seen by the doctor. She seemed very nice, took her time doing the tests and thoroughly checked our vision. Thank God I don't need glasses! I have 20/20..but my husband does. Found this place on Yelp, gave them a try. Looking for glasses the first visit, didn't find the right pair. Second time, I decided to take my eye exam here because of other "ok" reviews. Place looked a little antique, unprofessional; but service was friendly. Made an appointment by phone and took about 20min. To make my reservation as my records took time to be found. Felt a little odd they took so long. Made it 10 minutes late to my appointment, but they were behind on schedule. So, aka "on time." Although, an error occurred when the person with an appointment 30min. after me was taken in before me. I pointed it out to the secretary, she apologized deeply.... Instead of telling the other guy, and making things right. Star lost. When my turn was finally it, I had to wait an additional 10min. After the 30min. in the waiting area. Now, the doctor, she is the sweetest. Very nice, professional. After getting my prescription, I gave them the pair of glasses and my order was done one day to the next. I was happy for that result. Today, I came back to give them a new pair I already bought from another store. Realized they opened at 10:00am, not 8:00am as it was previously listed on yelp. Waited since 9:20am and they opened at 9:54am. Not bad. They took care of me rather quickly and friendly. Both staff members where in early except the Doctor. I had to wait for the Doctor to approve my prescription on the new set of glasses. Sooo, more wait. As my story continues, I think there is a better, faster way to do things. After waiting 4 weeks for my glasses, they gave me some glasses that belonged to someone else and didn't notice the error. They told me to wait 2 more weeks to fix the mistake (6 weeks in total) I waited and still they didn't have my glasses and not even a phone call from this office. The optometrist Lori Espinosa blames the lab and refuses to take responsibility and the lab blames her and also refuses to take responsibility leaving me THE PATIENT in the middle. You called the office they don't answer, you go to the office during business hours and they are closed. Don't be fooled by the pictures on google, is an empty townhouse with boxes laying on the floor and a selection of about 2O frames to choose from. Put your trust and money elsewhere. read more

I found this place only through my insurance not yelp. This is the first time I do an eye exam for my 3 and 6 year old boys. Place does look antique and not too many options to choose from. But the main reason why I am giving 5 stars was because the front lady was very sweet and nice to my 6yo and was very helpful at helping find his new pair of glasses. Dr. Lori Espinoza takes care of my eyes while being genuinely friendly, courteous, and very professional. The staff is also courteous and available to assist you while you wait. As a photographer, I use my eyes a lot, not only behind the camera but also in front of a computer screen editing pictures, so I need my eyes to be in tiptop shape. I highly recommend her to any one in need of friendly professional eye care in the Doral/Miami Springs area. NOTE: I have worked in Retail/Customer Service and KNOW that when a customer does not get their way, the service provider has to bend over backwards to try and pacify the situation. Use your common sense...those posting the negative postings are disgruntled customers who have poor social skills in dealing with people and have no tolerance whatsoever for human error.
