Maui HS Is close to the OGG Airport for me flying in from Oahu. Great sportsmanship from coaches, parents and the wrestlers that compete here. Administrators are very supportive of our great sport of wrestling too. The Maui HS wall of fame inside gym is a great tribute to those Maui attendees that became iconic Americans who's sacrifice and goal of excellence, made a mark upon our great nations character, through their life achievements. I'm in 6th grade at Kalama, and there are things about the school that don't feel right to me…read more There are a lot of fights, and it seems like they don't always get handled the way they should. That makes it hard to feel safe and focus during the day. I've also noticed moments where certain adults or situations make students feel uncomfortable, like too much staring or not respecting personal space. On top of that, most kids don't feel comfortable talking to adults about what's going on, which makes it even harder for problems to get fixed. I don't know everything for sure, but I know how it feels, and it's something that should be taken seriously. Students should feel safe, respected, and able to speak up if something feels off.

He looks at the girls, their buts, and chests and, he where's sunglasses inside so don't know what hes looking at. I have reported him before but nothing was done, they said they would follow up with me and they never did. Now I will tell you story's from my class. In my class the boys seemed to be his favorite, and to him it seemed like they did nothing wrong. For one instance there was a kid who told one of my friends he was going to deport her back to Jamaica and another girl to go back to Africa. We told him and he said let it go ,and never talked to the boy, or anyone not staff not his parents not anyone. The boys in that class, got the girls stuff wet one time and he did not seem to care except for, when a girl who stuff had gotten wet she ran down to a security person and told her what happed. Auntie Jessie was the security guard that she told, and she came up and asked what had happend and. Mr.deigez stared to get mad at the boys, but the second she left he asked the girls why we always have to bicker with the boys, and to let it go and that we were overreacting. There was one more time were one girl had hit another and she was crying and we had told Mr. Diegez that she was slapped and he didnt call anyone so no one knows that she was slapped except for the people in the class. I have talked to many girls in his class that have similar things going on. He has many reports made against him and not one has been taken seriously. I dont care who dosent belive me but i do care that i dont want this to happen to any other girl in his class. That's all. So...if you are unhappy, by all means there are public schools who, since I teach at them I can say with complete certainty, will take EVERY kind of student. If you desire a specified educational experience- which, since I am currently enjoying the second of my three children at Carden for middle school, I can also say with first-hand experience - then you pay for it. Fish or cut bait. This school is loving, caring, kind, nurturing, and everything you pay for. Sorry some people want something for nothing. Public schools have been fine for my kids; Carden is a gift.

They canceled our surf lesson 30 minutes before while we were on our way. We were understanding that things happen and tried to reschedule, but it never worked out. However, the issue is what followed. They assured me that I would receive a refund, but despite that promise, no refund was ever issued. After waiting and receiving no communication, I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card company. To make matters worse, the surf company responded to the bank claiming that I did receive the lesson--which is completely untrue. I have since reached out to try to resolve what I initially hoped was just a misunderstanding, but I have received zero response. The lack of honesty and accountability is a terrible representation of Maui. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but judging from other reviews, it looks like it already has. What a shame.

Zack has great attitude, knows surfing AND new surfers, and got me the best results for my time. He guided us to the best spots to catch waves, gets you going into the wave, and sends you off cheering. When you inevitably fall, his feedback is on point. He's chill, friendly with everyone, and is dialed-in on surfing. Zack is a professional - period. I'll be bringing him to Zack when it's my son's turn to surf. Website is super easy to use too.
