I'm a fan. If I can find one of these wonderful stores in a Spanish city I'm in the door. My wife…read moretoo. She buys stuff. Gifts. Clothes. Just stuff that I've little interest in. I go for the food. Glass jars of giant green olives, wonderful near black thin - sliced ham, macadamia nuts enrobed in chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder. semi - dried sliced pieces of banana and pear. I even picked up a bag of American made wotsit type Herr's cheese puffs but extra hot Carolina Reaper flavoured for a mere €4.5 all the way from the USA. After picking and choosing; musing I settled for a café con leche por favor. And it was €2.25 for a tasty large cup and a delightful sweet flavoured biscuit came on the side. I looked at the tind of caviar but randomly decided instead on Stilton cheese. Go figure? I think the lady serving the coffee and cheese thought she had an odd one here. I was surprised to find that the Stilton wasn't massively more expensive than at home so that's a nice surprise and it tasted great too. I know, first world problems but hey ho.

From the fragrances department through jewelry and clothing, this place is top notch. Good quality and you'll be paying for it. And in Euros, too. Shopping is easy and pleasant, I noticed plenty of registers with short queues. I did not see anything that fit in my price range.

Down the cobblestoned path from the castle in Old town Ibiza is just the cutest little accessory…read moreshop with unique jewelry pieces and hats, and not for grandma. It is in the midst of many outdoor/ indoor restaurants, and a great stop for before or after grabbing a bite! The owner is just the nicest woman who will take as much time as you need to go over the intricate and delicate pieces with you. Every type of jewelry, metal, stone, and glass. I am not a big jewelry person, but my friend and I were able to find such great pieces that people back home have complimented me on. Zero pressure from her to buy anything, and so much to look at each within little cases and so brightly displayed. You can tell the owner is super passionate about her shop and thrilled to show you how to get the most out of your piece. For instance, I purchased a hat for myself and one for my mom to take home. Knowing that many people are here traveling, she has nifty ways to show you how to pack them appropriately as to not be damaged or squished on the plane home. I have this giant hat that will shield me from the sun, and is able to fold up much to look like a vase. My mothers' is one that can be rolled up moreso, and the head size can be adjusted by a string underneath for our small pin heads (lol). I Came home with some lightly hammered circular drop earrings in rose gold, and a beautiful turquoise and coral ring that is adjustable. Each coming from France, in their little dust pockets. If you are looking for pieces that just are dainty or even elaborate, THIS is a must stop!

This year my wife and I booked this excursion again after we had a great day last year. The captain…read moreof the boat speaks at least german and english apart from his native language. We booked the tour via our travel agency so I don't know how it works if you book it by yourself. The small bus was on time and after he picked up another 13 persons he brought us to the port of Cala Ratjada. There had been a few people aboard already. The group consisted of 36 persons which is not very much compared to other tours. The captain steers the boat pretty close to the coast of this nature reservation which means you can take loads of great pictures or just enjoy the view. There are several stops during the day where swimming and snorkelling is possible and highly recommended. You can drink Cola and Lemonade (no brands) as well as beer and water all from the tap and I think local wine was already available. Shortly after the beginning there are slices of bread with different coverings served and later on there is a small lunch dinner. I did like the fisherman's rice but there was although pork and chicken and different salads. What might happen is that the excursion is postponed because of the weather and you have to chose an alternate date. The captain won't do the trip if the experience would be bad due to (sea) weather conditions It's really worth the price and if we are on Mallorca again we will surely do this excursion again.
