What a lovely surprise to find this tucked away behind the ice cream store! We were craving Mexican & decided to give it a try. Wow! The sweet corn tamale was flavorful & light. I had lunch here back in 2019, pre-pandemic and it was delicious. Stopped in a couple weeks ago and I'm so pleased that this little spot survived COVID. I had the three-taco plate with refried beans and rice. The tacos are delicious and authentic. Service was fine in this cozy, order at the counter restaurant with nice ambiance. The margarita, made with fresh squeezed lime juice and quality tequila was delicious. Nothing not to like here. Let me tell you, that sauce is exactly how my Mexican mother makes. It brought many childhood memories of my mother's cooking. I also ordered a hibiscus margarita... and it was excellent! The hibiscus margaritas are made with home-made syrup (the owner explained the process and even had us taste the hibiscus flowers after I gushed about the flavor) and are boozy and delicious. Took me two years to finally walk into this place (stupid me). So glad I did on this overcast Wednesday--they had me at "fresh squeezed margaritas" and I instantly knew I would be coming back to try everything. The taco was economically delicious. The tamale was out of this word. The protein was tender and the flavor was incredible. They even make their own chips! There are several Mexican restaurants in the Olympia (dozens to be honest) but this cute little place is my new favorite. Still kicking myself for waiting two years to try this. read more

there is so many more better options in the olympia area than this place. there is no service, the food is overpriced and not very good. we got 2 carne asada burritos and a torta. the carne was clearly mixed with ground beef. the burritos are very small. i will give it to them that the ambiance is nice with their decorations. read more

Used to like the little Mexican market here, now a restaurant...and I'd definitely make this a more regular eat-out, it was decent enough....but just too expensive. Really. I had a plate of veg. enchilada and a margarita, walked out paying over $40 for one person. That's extravagant, given that a simple margarita (not at all a big one either) here costs what a downtown Seattle mixologist bar would charge for a boojie upmarket cocktail....it was like $15. C'mon folx!! One man working the register and bar (you order up at the counter)----not very friendly. Given all that, why did I tip so much?! (Habit, empathy) It would be helpful if Olympia joints would stop charging like their more sophisticated brethren up north where we know that rent, wages and cost of living are higher up there....and most often the quality too. read more

We were waiting outside for curbside delivery but they didn't come out even after confirming we were there. Had to go inside to pick up the food, which after traveling 2 minutes to home, we could tell the food had been sitting there for a bit. Ordered mahi-mahi taco which wasn't bad and the slaw was creamy. Chicken taco was ok but some of the chicken was dry, carnitas was pretty good, not dry and the right amount of fat.
