Back in my day.... this is one of those. I used to eat at Dot's on the Hill 20 years ago... EEK. And while that location no longer exists, this one, located in a strip mall, with plenty of parking and views of the Flat Irons from their small, but mighty outdoor area still hits. I went with the biscuit and their incredible raspberry jam that still tastes the exact same and their breakfast burrito smothered in green chile. Not as spicy as it used to be, but they still serve it piping hot telling you not to touch that scorching plate. Smothered in cheese and green chili, the breakfast burrito is filled with eggs, potatoes and black beans. It's filling and wholesome and while maybe not the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, it's still incredible and I absolutely love that somethings never change. Service is still the same, authentic, alternative and it may take more time than you wanted for your check, but it's part of the charm. Our server was fabulous. She told me of all their gluten free options. I had an omelette of spinach and mushrooms, which was good. But the crème de la crème was the gluten free biscuit! OMG! The best gluten free anything I've ever had. Made there, secret recipe! Crispy on the outside, warm and moist in the inside. And the home fries were obviously homemade as well. I've been coming to this restaurant for years but the quality of food and service has gone down significantly. At my last visit , I was served sausages that were not only burnt , they looked moldy. They were covered in hard bumps . It didn't even resemble a sausage . The food for the most part was quite disgusting and I couldn't even stomach it nor did the people I was with . Interestingly enough everyone else's food at the restaurant looked pretty decent. Also worth mentioning, I am a queer woman and I noticed a significant change in recent months in the quality of the food and service when coming in with my partner or other lgbt people I know . The quality is distinctively good when I eat there with guy friends of mine , and is a noticeable enough difference that I feel that the service is bad because of homophobic staff . Our drinks aren't refilled and the waiters and waitresses completely avoid us , vs when I come with my guy friends and the service and food is amazing. I will not be coming back because of this distinctive difference in service and food quality and largely because of the implicit homophobia. read more

I go for their Biscuits & Gravy which I'm very picky about. They have yummy homemade biscuits covered with a white sausage gravy. Burritos, the special omelettes and blueberry pancakes filled the rest of the ticket and everyone enjoyed with no complaints. Coffee and lattes were decent and hot.
