One star is the minimum, and I'll be generous and add one star for the milkshake. Ok, ok. I know, I'm being hard on them, right? I mean this is Porcupine Plain, a town where there are (I think) three or four restaurants total, let alone any fine dining. But just because you live hours away from the nearest big city doesn't mean you have to sacrifice quality and service, right? We show up exhausted, having spent the entire day chasing down stinking, vile turkey vulture chicks in abandoned houses (what, you don't do that on your weekends?) so all we wanted was some simple food and a smile.
Customer: I'll have a house salad
Waitress: What kind of dressing you want?
Customer: What kind do you have?
Waitress: Name one.
Customer: Blue cheese?
Waitress: Nope.
... awkward silence ...
Listen gal, I know you're angry about living here. I know it's dull serving the same greasy breakfast to the same farmers every morning of every day. But just a little smile. Just a little one. Just a tiny flash of a smile would help. Life isn't so awful, I promise you. Just smile.
