I have been at the hospital for 4 days with a family member who is sick. We have been going there for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The waitstaff is so well trained, and very nice. It's a nice place to decompress from the hospital and relax for a while. Their crab cakes, shrimp salad, cream of crab soup is delicious. I also had the turkey dinner last night which was huge! Stop by on a Saturday Morning before I ran errands. Parking seemed a little dicey but I was able to find a spot right in front of the restaurant. Our usual breakfast spot was packed, so we decided to try something new while we were running some errands in Annapolis. Double T Diner has ample parking and ample tables. We visited on a weekend and were surprised at how quickly we were seated and how quick the service was. We were a table of 4 adults and one child and we all had a variety of dishes. My 2 year old LOVED the choc chip pancakes which came out early so we could all enjoy our breakfast when they were ready. We also had crab benedict, French toast, bacon, and eggs-- all were delicious! This restaurant has simple, good food which is exactly what we wanted with a visit to a diner. Not a fan of the new management team and their weak level of hospitality towards their customers (including regulars) ...This can easily be an acquired trait learned from the owner. They were very rude towards my wife and elderly mother when she asked not to be seated in the "old smoking section "of the diner (unfortunately I wasn't with them when this occurred- for we would have had words)... Upon entering. You're greeted and everything. They have the AC on so very good ventilation. The diner has TV's and looks updated. None of the springs were shot in the seats like some places. I got a mega omelette but have since been getting smaller and smaller omelettes though. Very attentive regarding drink refilling. Always had a full glass of water. The overall place is clean and the tables are stocked with salt & pepper as well as ketchup and hot sauce at a few tables. The general crowd is mainly middle to high class. Mainly adults. No kids really. Highly mature though. The noise level is normal for a diner. Very relaxed environment. Overall A++++ The BEST part about coming here is the people. Since I have been here a few times. Absolutely love the old school feel of the place, our server was polite and speedy, refilled my drink as soon as it ran out. Just really on top of things! I've been to Double T's in different parts of Maryland. This one was no different than the others in terms of food quality or the level of service. The food here is also inexpensive which is good if you're budget concious. I ordered the Double T Breakfast which was 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, potatoes and 2 pancakes. The portions here are HUGE so bring your appetite! Aside from the turkey sausage links and the potatoes, everything was good. The turkey sausage had an odd, gamey taste to it. The potatoes were just bland and forgettable. My waitress was very attentive and made sure to keep my coffee topped off. She was very good about checking on our table to make sure that we had a good experience. The Kitchen also got our food out to us pretty quickly and accurately as well. Ordered through Door Dash which was super quick! However, my gyro (no tomato, tzatziki on the side) was fake meat, weird pressed, preformed slices. Pita had some sautéed onions on it. The side of matzo ball soup would get you banned from NYC. The fries might be better if I reheated them. Not ordering from here again. This set me back $22.50 with all the fees. My old haunt during college age when you often find yourself ready and wanting to eat at midnight or 2am any particular night of the week, it was great to come back after a lot of years away. And find- nothing has changed. I really mean nothing- it looks as clean and shiny and exactly the same. There's no sense of aging or decline and that's impressive as the menu being identical as well. Pick your diner food and you have it- their corn muffins are more an entire tin of muffins sizewise. Soup is hearty. Burgers are juicy. Desserts are insane. And everything is FAST. You do not have to worry about being forgotten in orders here. This place runs so smooth and easy. You have to be comfortable with the insanity of people both trying to get tables and paying at the door at the same time. The crab Benedict wasn't that great, it was very bland flavor wise. Their burgers are pretty good and we love their sweet potato fries.
