After reading the reviews, I felt compelled to speak up. This is a fantastic nursery and we, as the general public, are lucky to have access. The prices are amazing! For those complaining that they didn't receive personal service, I suggest shop at a big box store and hope you get good information. Doug young nursery allows you to roam around and pick what you want. They provide a map and will guide you through the process. It is an adventure in plant paradise. They aren't there to be your personal shopper and if you don't know your plants, you still have cell service on their property... Google it! read more

Great selection of plants. Helpful staff and good prices, especially compared to big chain stores

Well just finished up buying all my plants for my garden this year. this is the second year me and my husband go up and buy at Doug young. We love going. The prices are great. And the staff are helpful and kind. They even gave us a pink T shirt for our daughter (3 years old) who accompanied us. We are delighted with our plants and so excited to add them to our garden. They have every plant imaginable, and if you just call to find out what they have, the people on the phone are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what is available. All of our plants we have gotten from them are full and gorgeous. We live in Alex and it's well worth the drive. read more

We drove 45 minutes to buy 20 maple trees for our property. Staff was not helpful at all. The lady that came out stood behind a shrub and I literally had to find out where her voice was coming from. She sent us to their second nursery, in which no one came out to help us. Ended up going to Holloway's Nursery and their staff couldn't have been more helpful. read more
