Many of the items have fond memories attached, and now they are ruined, no warning phone call to say, "Hey we screwed up". Very irritating. If I could give minus stars I would. Won't recommend or use this service ever again. I get sh*t happens, but you have to own the sh*t when it happens, and you failed miserably.

But They have a functioning Change dispensing machine on site. Also, there are no instructions or guides on how to use each type of machine (especially the triple load washers). So, a first time user will be super confused. This isn't helped by the lack of staff on site. They have a secure Free WiFi and a TV that's on sometimes - though the channels are not my taste. There were brooms around to allow you clean up after yourself. Helpful. They also have a soap, bleach and softener dispenser on site (at extra cost). Along with a snack and soda machine. Just pray it doesn't steal your coins. I can't recommend the business because in addition to a few issues above, the owner is a little inappropriate or disrespectful in attitude when they do show up. Not a good thing considering the laundry is located in a religious Jewish neighbourhood with families. They recently added professional laundry/dry-cleaning services where you submit your clothes to the staff and they do a professional wash.

Original review written early July 2026 I brought in two secondhand dresses for cleaning, one of which required minor alterations (shortening the straps and hemming the skirt). I returned today because I noticed the rolled hem was coming apart in several spots. During that visit, I learned that the dress had been altered through the waist instead of the hem, which is a far more invasive and costly alteration. Unfortunately, the work was also not done particularly well. The skirt was not properly realigned to the bodice after being shortened, resulting in puckering and unintended pleats where the pieces were forced back together rather than realigned and matched correctly. For context to the next part, I am a professional costume designer and use a rolled hem daily on my work. What turned an unfortunate alteration into a genuinely poor experience was the response from management. Rather than addressing my concerns about the workmanship, I was met with dismissive and condescending comments, including being asked, "If you're a professional, why didn't you do it yourself?" and being told, "If you're a professional, you should know that's how it's done." For the record, I didn't do it myself because I run a very successful costume design business and am always booked 6+ months in advance. Right now is my busiest period. And no, shortening a dress through the waist is not automatically "how it's done", especially when the original construction and requested alteration suggested otherwise. I was also accused of having worn the dress because it was dirty. This was particularly surprising given that I had picked the dress up from their cleaning service the evening before and had not yet worn it. If the dress was returned to me in a dirty condition, that raises further questions about the quality of the cleaning service provided. I was extremely disappointed by the complete lack of attention to detail throughout the process. If the rolled hem was already coming apart when the dress was brought in for cleaning and alterations, I would have expected that to be noticed and addressed before the garment was returned to me. Between the poor quality of the alteration and the unprofessional way my concerns were handled, I left feeling that my business was not valued. Given what I paid for the cleaning and alterations ($244 for a dirty dress with a hem that was falling apart), I cannot recommend this business for alteration work. Edit (August 31, 2026): I had reached out to head office at the end of June before placing a chargeback with Amex and gave them a timeline of 10 days to respond. They did not respond so I moved forward with a chargeback. The manager, Mary, finally called me 2 months later (August 31st), after being informed of the chargeback that I placed with Amex on June 30th. Apparently she had "just gotten my email" and said that I could even "come down to the store to see the timestamp on the email from TD." 1) The email was sent to the head office email, not TD (I don't bank with TD) 2) I'm a small business owner and 7 months pregnant, I'm not going to waste my time and go out of my way to see the timestamp on an email that should have been dealt with 2 months ago. During the call, she was combative, rude, repeatedly addressed me by different incorrect names, and continually interrupted and spoke over me while I was trying to explain my side of the situation. She then kept saying that we were "going in circles," when in reality, I had to repeatedly restart what I was saying because I was constantly being interrupted. Her proposed "solution" was to offer me a complimentary cleaning or repair of the dress' alterations (2 months after the wedding that it was needed for) because she "has staff to pay, so she can't refund the service." However, that reasoning was illogical, as she was still offering to provide a service at no cost rather than truly addressing the issue with the original service. I ended up hanging up the call as I was tired of being gaslit, interrupted, and spoken over. This person should not be in a managerial position if she cannot listen to understand instead of listening to argue. I will not be back and neither will my family members.

Been their customer for more than five years now, and I can see that the majority of the customers here are long-time customers. Only cons is that the owner does not speak in good English but still a sincere lady, smiling all the time. Bottom line, they know what they are doing and get the job done in quality manner.

I then verified the location on Google map and found the location is in a safe and nice neighbourhood. It is near where I buy my favourite smoked salmon and right across Dollarama (which used to be my favourite pet store for cat food). With a backpack filled with detergent and an arm filled with dirty pants, I headed to the store. The store is operated by a nice old grandpa and a daughter. The place for pretty clean and much much better than I expected! (Like those shared laundry facility in dormitories in college). Price is reasonable. A triple load washer is $6. Dryer is by timer with 3 settings. I think I put about $2 coins? The grandpa, knowing I am newbie, kindly showed me how to use it. They even have laundry basket, rack, and chairs for use. If my washer is not fixed by my landlord anytime soon, I am likely to be back. Super thanks to the nice grandpa to make my dramatic Sunday experience much easier.

The space/walkway is fairly narrow which might be a problem considering the place is always crowded, even on weekdays. They have a fairly high number of tables but they are placed in the crowded walkway too. They also have very few chairs and laundry baskets. Their hours are great (6:30am or even 5:30am in the Summer all the way to 11:30pm). There's an ATM (but it DOESN'T work). Other useful things on site are Vending machines for snacks/beverages, Change machine/dispenser, Washing sink, Dispenser for detergents/bleach/softner/laundry bag ($1 each) and Wi-Fi (but the WiFi is super slow or even non-functional a lot of times. I once took in a jacket to shorten the sleeves. There were buttons on the sleeve and the alterations service not only moved the buttons to a new spot so it would look just right, they removed the old buttonhole-stitching and instated new buttonhole stitching. Most places would have just moved the buttons and ignored these kinds of details.
