I booked a night at Dovey Inn through a third party travel website mainly because I was looking for a relatively inexpensive accomodation at Aberdovey after a friend remarked of the village's beauty. By comparison it was one of the cheaper B&B I could find in the area, and it sits right in the centre of the village. We were given a twin room with two big windows overlooking the estuary, and as far as I know, we were charged the same as the listed price on their front door. The room was very clean and comfortable, and although small, the seaview more than made up for it.
A full English breakfast is included the next morning. The waiting staff seemed a bit tired and distant, but we were served eventually and as were were on holiday and in no hurry we weren't too bothered by it.
When we were checking out there was no staff at the bar to take our key back, so we waited 3-4 minutes when a guy came out with a friendly smile to take our payment and wave us goodbye.
Do note that parking is available on street only, which carries restricted length of stay in the day time and very limited availability in the nightime. In the high season this could be a very big problem. There is a large pay-and-display car park further down the main road.
Overall, if you are looking for a clean and comfortable room at Aberdovey, the Dovey Inn offers good choice and good value for money. read more
