Worth wandering into if you've come to visit the grave of St. Patrick, but the current establishment offers a hodge-podge of doctrine and ideas that wouldn't be recognizable to St. Patrick as Christianity. read more

I loved visiting this cathedral. It's an active Anglican congregation. Wonderful. The visit to St. Patrick's grave was a plus.
A truly lovely cathedral. And full of history. Just out back is where Saint Patrick (yes THE Saint Patrick) is buried. It was special to visit this place. They were very welcoming inside and directed us to where St Patrick's gravestone is. I recommend stopping by to anyone who is in the area. They also throw a big St Patty's Day celebrating in the town, if you're interested! read more
In the graveyard is supposed to be the burial site of St. Patrick. The building has a beautiful organ case, box pews, and stained glass windows. There is a souvenir shop and toilets. This was built as a Benedictine Monastery in 1183. You can arrange guided tours. read more
Down cathedral as said is the burial ground of saint Patrick with his tomb being easy to find close to the entrance of the graveyard and is in pristine condition . There was a time team excavation a lot of years ago where they were searching for an earlier building and famously found nothing. The cathedral has a grand atmosphere about it and there's usually classical music playing as you go in. I'm not religious in any way but I do like old buildings and its an impressive one. The down museum is five minutes walk away and free entry so its worth doing both at the same time read more
