I've been coming to this dentist for just about 16 almost 17 years. The people there have seen me grow up and they still this day provide me with the best dental care. I've visited other dentist offices with friends and there no place like Downey Dental. I've been helped by all the doctors there including the orthodontist. Dr. Myung is absolutely amazing. He is very pleasant and all around great dentist. The staff there are so nice and very professional. They have one of the best receptionists and her name is Frances. They have all helped and accommodated me in any way they can and even though I've had many painful things done to my mouth there, I still leave feeling mostly happy because of the great staff and doctors. read more

I'm usually like a 5 year old when it comes to the dentist. I hate the dentist. I try to avoid my visits at all costs. I, or I should say my teeth, have paid for it dearly. Anyhow, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place while driving around doing errands. We checked them out online and were very impressed with what we read. When we went in the office we were both very pleased to see how clean and modern the place was. The staff were great and very patient with all our questions. The dentists are amazing! I had to have a root canal done (again, due to my lack of visits) not too long ago. The dentist who assisted me kept asking if I was ok. If I felt any pain. If I was nervous. It was very comforting. There was a point I did feel some pain and the dentist numbed me up again to make sure I didn't feel anything at all. They have totally helped with my fear as far as my dental visits go. Looks like there's hope for me and my teeth just yet! read more

I can not believe what has been occurring and what I'm experiencing with the staff at Downey Dental Group. I'm truly disappointed in how they are handling a dispute in my claims filed. After my children's dental visit I was made to pay up front out of pocket (that my PPO plan did t cover the upgrade surface) turns out that my insurance did pay a percentage and they over charged me on that visit and now that I'm trying to get refund they are refusing to credit me back what is owed to me. They refuse to speak with my insurance provider and they refused to take responsibility. Now, I'm being harassed by Claudia to call to confirmed my appointment that I have already cancel with Francis then spoke with Claudia herself and the lady still keeps calling me with the excused of my follow up Appt. I did not want this to come too this point but unfortunately they leave me no choice then too let others know how they are treating me. A little advice don't go to your dental visit without throughly knowing what is your responsibility. Do not rely in the provider to let you know. Or else you will too be faced with this awful experience. read more

Don't go here if all you want is a cleaning if you're a new patient. So my insurance assigns me with this dentist and since I'm paying for insurance out of pocket, unemployed, I have no need for a permanent dentist. My insurance will expire soon and so many doctors/hospitals during this time has not allowed me to be able to get to a dentist. That being said, all I want is a cleaning. Just a basic freaking cleaning, I don't care if my teeth are about to fall out because I can't afford to do anything about it anyway. Also, I hate x-rays, don't need x-rays because I won't have insurance or a dentist for much longer. But this office, just like many others I've been calling, has their little policies set in place that do not cater to patient's needs only their own. So if all you're looking for, as a new patient, is a cleaning...good luck looking somewhere else because this office won't allow it. As the receptionist said multiple times, call your insurance for another dentist office. read more

I've never met a more generous and sincere group of people in a dental office ever! All the ladies at the front desk are incredibly nice and understanding. I started coming here when I had a cracked molar from accidentally eating glass that was in my food at a restaurant! They worked with me every step of the way to make sure I was taken care of during the difficult legal process. Dr. Myung always makes sure I'm comfortable and is considerate of patient pain and constantly checks if I'm doing alright. it's crazy how much I DONT mind going to the dentist with this bunch.
